Will be surprised to see Cornet start.

Injury > Covid > lack of match fitness.

What's actually up with Ashley Barnes? He's always in the training videos, but never seems to be in contention. Not sure what his issue is, I must have missed it

Hen
Lowts Tarks Mee Taylor
McNeil Westwood cork Cornet
Lennon
Wood

I think that might just be our best team after seeing what Lennon can do in the 10. As good as MC has been, he’s looked best wide, and having Wood in the team is a bonus because he is a goalscorer. With cornet and Lennon showing movement like they have done we have more than one threat for McNeil/Westwood to find.

Nit sure about Lennon, but Stephens has definitely featured in some u-23 games recently.

I'm not convinced Cornet will start at Leeds, but if he's available he'd be a mighty useful option from the bench.

Hennessey and Lennon can't be dropped after tonight. Add Cornet into the mix and I think we have a real chance.

Stephens came on as a sub.

But I hope you are correct and Cornet starts.

Difficult to see how Cornet starts if he didn’t even make the bench last night.

Same team as last night if that’s the case, otherwise Cornet in for JBG.

I'd like to see Cornet on the bench for this game. If Brownhill is over his illness, would like him in the 1st 11 instead of Cork. No other changes to make to last night's team.

This. Except I wouldn’t really describe wood as a goal scorer…. He sometimes scores, and mostly doesn’t as shown by the free header that went wide and high last nite. Having said that, he has to play, as we know he can turn it around.

Lennon looked a proper 10 last nite, played really well so he goes again in that role.

IF fit which is in the OP

Hennessey
Lowton Tarky Mee Taylor
Lennon Westwood Stephens McNeil
Cornet Wood

What I think it'll be is

Hennessey
Lowton Tarky Mee Taylor
JBG Westwood Cork McNeil
*Lennon
Wood

* can't drop him after that but I'd like to see him on the right and Vydra in behind should Cornet not be fit, we could do with starting on the front foot and taking the lead, we don't seem very good at chasing the game and breaking trams down.

We need to notify Ivory Coast that Cornet Cornet is not fit to play in Cameroon
If he's not fit we want him staying here getting sorted out

Ooooo very good news. I was suprised he wasn’t on the bench last night but I guess they were just being ultra cautious. Also, problem is, he’s that good that you can’t have him on the bench and leave him there if he’s nor quite ready.

Leeds' defence is weak, so having Cornet making it would be massive.

Hennessey
Lowton-Tarks-Mee-Taylor
Brownhill-Stephens-Westy-Twinkle
Lennon
JayRod

Stephens because the Midfield needs a shakeup - I was tempted to keep Cork but Westys’ set pieces are invaluable… Stephens is 2 footed and passes through the lines - his performance is how I remembered him when he played for Brighton

Guddy looks toast imo, prefer to have Brownhill back on the right for added athleticism and at least he’s a right footer out there…

Lennon imo shouldn’t be dropped after that performance and showed us that he’s still got some quality in the locker -

JayRod over Wood because Wood is horrendously out of form and JayRod’s link up play is significantly better.

Let’s play football!!!

Just watched SD's press conference, Brownhill is definitely out with covid so the 2 who could be back are Jay and Pope.

We know the referee will be on their side, so the more players they have out the better.

This has got to be our starting 11.
McNeil to continue with raking cross field passes to Cornet. If Wood showing no signs of improvement bring Rodriguez on without delay.

Pope
Lowton Tarks Mee Taylor
McNeil Westwood Cork Cornet
Lennon
Wood

Interesting that you’d drop Lennon after his man of the match performance and goal.

I didn't think we played badly against Man Utd, and could easily have scored first, so I would go with the same starting 11.

Mine is same as yours except Cornet left, McNeil right and Lennon stays where he is. So no Brownhill or JBG.
