Go.

He’s had ample time to turn things round and we’ve played utterly awful football and been getting no results for 12 months.

Stay. Absolutely stay.

Is he perfect? No.
Does he get things wrong? Yes.
Has he been let down spectacularly by the previous chairman and the board? Yes.
Is there another manager ANYWHERE in world football that could have kept this lot in the PL for the last 6 seasons? No.

And there isn't a manager anywhere in the country that could get anything better from this current group, of that I'm sure. As unhappy as a lot of us are with where we find ourselves, potting the one manager in the PL you'd want to be in charge of your club in this position would be an utterly bizarre decision. He needed help and didn't get it... Meanwhile, Garlick watches on from a distance whilst our manager gets the pelters that should be heading his way.

Winston Churchill couldn't rally us to avoid the inevitable I'm afraid.

Dyche stays and hopefully is supported by the board.
How many professional football club are there in the world? How many football managers out of jobs? Yet Dyche is the only one who could achieve what he’s done? Rubbish. There’s plenty.

Stay for me.

I'd love to have 15 minutes with him in private to put to him all the issues that we as Burnley fans get frustrated about and see what his replies are. Not to have a go at him but to see if there is good rationale (Im sure there is but I'd like to hear it all the same!). We all have our bright ideas but we probably dont understand half of what he has to deal with to get a competitive team out there in the Premier League week in week out over the years.

I think more than likely Dyche has to stay and see whether he
can keep us up. There would have to be a major fall out for him to go.

More importantly is whether Pace is willing to spend some more cash
to bring in one or two fresh faces to see whether that will keep us up.
That's if the right players are available (which could be tricky) and also whether he can find the money.
If he does and we do still go down then we are more than likely to recoup any
monies spent now from the sale of 3/4 or more in the summer.
So it's not that much of a gamble.
Much also depends on whether Dyche still believes he can keep us up with the current squad.

We’re at a crossroads, but it’s with this squad, not with the manager.

Time for another Dyche rebuild, he did the last one post relegation very well - he will this too.

The only person who decides whether Mr Dyche stays or goes is Mr Dyche himself.

We don't have the finance to sack him and his team.

Its whether at the end of the season he has the stomach and the fight for another championship Tuesday/Saturday slog or takes 12 months out of the game and comes back somewhere with his batteries recharged.

Stay - He's worked miracles without given the appropriate support to do the job. I cant imagine another manager being capable of delivering what he has.

He has a new boss in a new owner now, a fresh start in many ways for the club. The recent poor results are because of neglect in previous transfer windows for whatever reason. He needs our support, as fans, to keep us in the league. Hopefully the new board will support him too with realistic transfer funds.

It’s a complete mess it’ll end up as a marriage nobody wants to be in but through the fear of the anything different & hefty compensation payouts & a divided fanbase things will just stumble on with the hope that things 1 day will improve for the better.

I disagree with that. You can only say he signs dross if he had a crystal ball. I think we have been unfortunate. Jonathan Walters, Ben Gibson, Danny Drinkwater, Robbie Brady were really bad luck with injuries.

The only one who comes to mind was I think Nahki Wells, I'm not sure why we signed him. We knew he was a decent goalscorer but not at Premier League level.

Peter Crouch... not a great signing, but on the other hand I think it was a good deal - with Vokes going the other way to Stoke for £8m - a good stop gap.

I think everyone else has been OK... we've just not improved on them.

aside from the practicalities of the situation....

He's been the best manager in my time watching the Clarets but if he left, I would no longer be devastated. Everyone has a shelf life in this game, and a change could be refreshing if managed correctly.

He needs to go. The term busted flush would seem appropriate but I don’t think he’s even as high as a flush in all
Honesty

Stale, same plug and play tactics with the same players week in week out. He has overseen this squad he hasn’t recruited or evolved as required.

It’s all very tired and we need some fresh ideas.

Our Leader has gone from hero to zero in this past 2 seasons, so lets have it right and see what the majority of claret fans think about Mr Dyche, in a nutshell i think the time is right for him to go, his methods and what he says we have been hearing for god knows how long, no proper system, 4-4-2 ALL the time never changes, brings in new players and they are not ready for the first team, and do a 6 month appreticeship sat on the bench until ( im the boss ?) mr dyche decides to play you, Vydra is a typical example, also be prepared to be dumped out of the FA Cup this Saturday, all our cup runs are also a farce under him as well, poor team selection etc, and as it says form wise out of 92 clubs........wait for it, yes we are 92nd.............Dyche has to go and go now, am i right ? answers on the back of a stamp plz....care of BMS.......a simple stay or go in responce please.

We don't always play 4-4-2, I'd expect players to play when the manager decides, that's how it works. No surprise to see Vydra's name there. He just gets better and better when he doesn't play doesn't he? All our cup runs are a farce you say but only once in the last six years have we gone out in the 3rd round and that was at Manchester City. No, we are not 92nd out of 92, simply because we have played a lot less games than most of them so a comparison can't be made.

And, you've forgotten, we've no money now to pay him off and who do you think the owners will bring in?

Here's a question: you have a manager who's been there years and a squad of players who've been there years. What's he going to say pre-match next time that's going to make a massive difference? It's going to be the same old, same old. Isn't it?

Stay

I do think he could have been more proactive this last 7 matches. Injuries and absences aside, his biggest flaw is his loyalty to a fault. It isn't the first time in his tenure that that stubbornness has shown itself, but as in those cases, I trust he'll get it right in the end.

Definitely a stay-however it would be nice to have some changes, and some fresh thinking. For me if his loyalty to certain players needs to change, and we need to play our strongest 11, and a different type of football

Go. The football and tactics are as dull as hell. As alluded to above it’s not nice breaking up a relationship that has been good in the past. Successful businesses have to make difficult decisions and base them on current performance though. It’s bearable when you grind out results. We can’t string passes together for toffee, the work rate has gone and we are consistently error strewn. Some of these players are not good enough but they are Dyche’s players. As a season ticket holder I’m not that bothered if I miss matches because it’s just not that entertaining and I’ve plenty of other things to do. I used to hate missing matches even in the bottom division. Each to their own though.

GO

The football is tedious beyond belief, inabillity to change tactics, infuriating decisions to play out of form players instead of form ones.

Watching them yesterday just left me angry, wont be watching them again in a hurry.

Admittedly Garlick is the architect of his downfall but Dyche really doesnt help himself sometimes, freezing Vydra out for years for reasons unknown when we could have been a much better side with the team built around him as a no.10. Just as we look like dropping he will leave and those fans that have never believed in his abillity will get their wish for him to leave just because your god doesnt like him.

If Pace hadnt stupidly given him a four year contract it would have been far easier to get rid in summer, I never imagined he had earned a four year deal for 17th place, two years would have been more than sensible in the circumstances. Are ALK planning to have dwindling crowds in the championship because that is what they are going to get. There is no style whatsoever to the football we are playing. No point putting more premium seating into the ground when we are playing like dross week in week out. People are not stupid, they wont pay premium for dross.

A lot of work to do but I'm afraid it looks like Dyche is not the answer to our problems so far.

Question: How long will the happy clappers put up with this awful style of football, forever?????

If we can't afford to sack Dyche make him director of football and bring a new man in, he'll soon pissoff 😆 😂 🤣

Exactly, "he's been" past tense, and now no longer

Depends how our fortunes pan out post-Dyche, if we get a new gaffer in, and they oversee a return to the PL, and then keep us their for a couple of seasons, as well as playing a better brand of football then you may have a valid argument, however if after Sean's departure we then revert to an average Championship team or worse, then his achievements will rightly be viewed in a much more positive light.

Either way 6 successive years at the top table, with a brief foray into Europe thrown in can't be sniffed at, and we'll always have fond memories of his tenure, the danger is he blots his copybook and tarnishes his legacy by staying too long.

But given Pace has just given him a new 4 year deal recently, and we are apparently short of cash, I doubt SD will be getting his P45 anytime soon, and on balance he should be given at least 6 months in the Championship to see if we're in a strong place to bounce back, he's done it twice already, so if he's up for the challenge we'd be rash to punt him just yet.
