I can't speak for everybody but I don't pick and choose games based on whether we will win or lose, if I did that I would probably go on about 3 games a season, but if you did do this then so what.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:30 amIt's Saturday and matchday can't see any reason not to attend.
Only 1 in our group isn't going, but he's had to go Lanzarote for his Mrs birthday the part timer.
The day I start picking and choosing games on when I think we might win or not is the day I pack it in all together
If you really wanted to go, then you'd sit somewhere else, with probably a better view than where you sit.... And book before Saturday at the lower prices
Oh I thought it was increased £20 or £25 on the day depending which club info you've seen.
Obviously if you REALLY wanted to go you could.Backofthenet wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:51 amIf you really wanted to go, then you'd sit somewhere else, with probably a better view than where you sit.... And book before Saturday at the lower prices
Ahh kids tickets stay the sameclaretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:54 amDon't adult tickets go up £5 and under 17s stay at £5 even on the day ?
I hadn't seen that
Now if I was a betting man, which one would I bet on being correctclaretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:03 amI hadn't seen thatOne of them is wrong

I understand the postponed problem, though you would get a refundMACCA wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:59 amObviously if you REALLY wanted to go you could.
Like I said they're obstacles are in the way which will probably outweigh the appeal of attending.
Do I fancy buying tickets for for it to get postponed?
Do I fancy buying tickets for me ir my son needing to isolate?
Do I fancy not going on with my usual group?
Do I fancy sitting somewhere else?
If I decide to go Wednesday onwards I need to go to the ticket office personally as I can't get it loaded onto my season card.
If I think, I'll decide on the day there's a £10-£15 increase on the cost of my tickets.
So of course if I really want to go I can, but there's a few unnecessary obstacles in the way.
When are those refunds likely to be announced, never mind come?Backofthenet wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:13 amI understand the postponed problem, though you would get a refund
£100 they wouldn't have had the games gone ahead, so I doubt they need the refund ASAPMACCA wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:22 amWhen are those refunds likely to be announced, never mind come?
No news yet on
Tottenham, Watford, Everton or Aston VILLA refunds.
You can excuse people for potentially wanting to avoid needing to chase up 5 games worth of refunds, that are probably well over £100 in cost.
Just to sort of prove one of MACCA's points.MACCA wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:59 amObviously if you REALLY wanted to go you could.

Wow how long have you watched Burnley…..?BuryClaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:06 amGiving this one a miss. Me and my Dad usually go on for the cup games, but we feel totally deflated after recent results and have seen us knocked out of the cups enough times against lower league opposition.
Correct, but they didn't get the product, activity or entertainment they paid for, so are now left with out their money, nothing in return for their initial out lay and yet to receive any information on what their options are, nor when they can expect a refund.Backofthenet wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:41 am£100 they wouldn't have had the games gone ahead, so I doubt they need the refund ASAP
Yours is a prime example.Goobs wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:46 amJust to sort of prove one of MACCA's points.
I am a season ticket holder currently isolating due to Covid. Potentially Saturday could be my 1st day out of isolation.
Therefore no point buying tickets before the day as may still be positive / isolating.
Absolutely no way I will pay the extra on the day should I be able to go.
I get those points, but those weren't the reasons you gave originallyMACCA wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:51 amCorrect, but they didn't get the product, activity or entertainment they paid for, so are now left with out their money, nothing in return for their initial out lay and yet to receive any information on what their options are, nor when they can expect a refund.
Surely you can see why anyone who is concerned about the rise in covid cases, wary of postponements and travel arrangements would want to risk deciding days in advance or suffer a price hike.
I'm sure many can see why that can be off putting to fans ?

21 years for me and 60+ for my Dad. Does that make me a worse supporter? We're all entitled to an opinion...

Don't think you can load onto your season card after the expiry of the seat reserve date. Or I couldn't anyway and received an email with a QR code, which is no big deal.Coeus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 1:54 pmI’d like to go on but online sales not appearing to work for me. Went on this morning and was going in BL and was shown it was a QR code. Prefer to use ST so logged out and went to see if my seat was free. It is. Logged in chose seat but basket not updated and message along lines that shopping basket unavailable at this time try later. It’s a bit of a puzzle, any help appreciated.
Thanks

Adults £15 goes up to £20 on the day.clarethomer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:30 pmNot recovered from the Michael Duff incident when we played them years ago.
On that basis.... I'm out!
On a more serious note, I was going to make a decision on the day with Kids going back to school this week, I just knew it would be my luck that I would get ill if I was to buy a ticket. Also there is no refund if I was to test positive and the game went ahead.
Now I have seen the pricing goes up (and Im still not clear which one is right) -I have decided that I will just find a stream - feel this approach is daft and almost like Im being penalised by trying to take a sensible approach.
Still don't agree with changing the price on match day when there is a pandemic on and it's clear many people will want to hold on to their money until they know that they are able to attend because they are not suffering with Covid as there is no way to get a refund if you can't attend from what I can see.
The higher price on the day is what the Club normally do for cup games, presumably to encourage people to buy in advance to then allow them to sort out staffing, catering etc. But they don't seem to have given consideration to the Covid issue and the fact that probably more people than usual would be reticent to commit in advance but then may not want to pay an extra £5 on the day.clarethomer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:41 pmStill don't agree with changing the price on match day when there is a pandemic on and it's clear many people will want to hold on to their money until they know that they are able to attend because they are not suffering with Covid as there is no way to get a refund if you can't attend from what I can see.
I know its only a fiver more but it's the principle.
So how do you fit that in to the fact that we've won five of our last third round games?snapcrackleandpop wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:42 ambut i don't think Dyche gives a toss about the cups so why should I.
Don't recall them having done it before this season. In 2019/20, the last season we could go to cup games, we had a higher price for non-season ticket holders than season ticket holders but no increases on the day.
