Feel sorry for those who've booked trains and made plans for the Saturday.

As mentioned on another thread, I’m not going to this game but the news has really, really annoyed me. Once again, a big boy throws their weight around, authorities are to afraid to make a big call and our fans lose out. Why can’t they play the second leg on the Wednesday??

Hard luck mate - I know the feeling. This was the real advantage of playing in the Championship- you could make proper arrangements and not have some numpties bugger them up

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from the Emirates to Euston by tube? My train from Euston is 5:13pm so I'm guessing that I'm going to be struggling. Thanks for any help.

Just when you thought rearranging games at short notice couldn’t get much worse…..

Whilst relegation would be a massive disappointment……….back to mainly Tuesday Saturday and the ability to book travel with a degree if confidence won’t be unwelcome…..

Disgusting, again through no fault of Burnley our fans get messed about. Three options could have been taken here:

1. League Cup Semi is changed to a one leg game at Emirates next week (Liverpool lose their right to host a leg)
2. Play the 2nd leg on the Wednesday.
3. Tell Arsenal no one else's problem, you're playing on the Saturday.

With postponements or rearranged games like this, their needs to be a refund scheme either from clubs or Premier League directly for fans who miss out and already paid expenses.

You should be ok.

Walk down to Angel tube ( about half an hour walking briskly ) and the tube to Euston takes no more than ten minutes.

Angel tube is best because all the nearer underground stations will have long queues.

15 mins walk up to Highbury & Islington then ten minutes on the train back to Euston. Be back in 30 mins as not normally a big queue.

That’s me and TY knackered - booked train believing no TV game so what could possibly happen. Travelling to watch Burnley should carry a health warning and a financial one too.

Guess you've missed, it's Liverpool that asked for the game tomorrow to be postponed.

I can’t see why the cup tie is on the Thursday?

They both play Sunday but I’m sure sides often play Sunday, Wednesday Saturday.

Looks that way. Nothing on at the moment but looks like they’ll be showing some rearranged Premier League games on the Tuesday and Weds then.

Option 1 should have been the outcome, and why when clubs are complaining about the amount of games are LC semi-finals still 2 legged?

Seems pointless to me, what is the problem with arranging a neutral venue, and playing a one-off tie.

Probably the fact that it would result in one less game for TV.

So it's all about the money again, that's fine but if I hear another manager whinge about the number of games their poor darlings have to play I'll scream.

Huncoatclaret is a former legendary Lancashire League opening batsman and currently a highly trained sports groundsman who should be fit as a fiddle.

In reality he is neither but he should manage the two and a half miles back to Euston in an hour and a half walking backwards on one leg!

To be honest, I’d be surprised if match day fans were considered at all when decisions about rearranging games are taken.

Yes. Get away sharpish, quick jog South on Holloway Road to Highbury & Islington , catch Victoria Line Tube 2 stops to Euston.
I would avoid Finsbury Park due to queueing and crowd controls.

Should make that train fairly comfortably I'd say!
