I don't think we purposely leave it till last minute, I think it's just the nature of the beast for us. Doubt pace has been sat there all window until a couple of days ago and suddenly gone "Oh ********, what day is it? Sean, shall we put a bid in?"

I got a text today off a lass we're planning to do some work for and I'd just been thinking that I needed to call her but was on here obssessing. I replied that we must have a Sixth sense, the reply came back, more like a six fingered sense, not from her but her Barsteward Husband, I'd forgotten that it was a group text set up from previous works we'd done for them.
I politey as I could suggested that the next 3 days would not be a good time for the banter that I'm normally up for.
All a bit fraut this time round, feels like if we sign them then we're in with a fighting chance, don't and we're not.

Pace was very involved in the Cornet transfer so wouldn’t be surprised if he had gone out to close the deal. Don’t think it’s necessarily a bad sign either. We’re appearing much more ambitious in our targets and as such they’re harder to get over the line.
