Ryan Taylor is saying another forward and a CM are of interest
I would be extremely happy at this stage if that’s true. After the orsic and Ramsey debacle, I was wishful of one more.

As a side note the striker I said would be a good fit is moving to Brighton.

7m for Undav.
Union are actually owned by Brighton owner Tony Bloom so that was a straight forward one for them.

If we managed to sign a CM and another forward even I would say That is fantastic business.

Two areas we have been crying out for strengthening

Yes I saw that. It’s a shame I think he would have added something different to our attack

Got to be honest here, if our CM target was Ramsey, then he's going to go to whereever Van Der Beek doesn't go

So I hope he isn't the target

And this late in the day we'll struggle to get anyone else in (assuming WW signs)

If it was Ramsey you’d expect him to say seeing as it’s reported everywhere else.

Depends on if the club did the right thing by having several contingencies in place in case any deals fell through. If not then that’s pretty poor form, if they did then it won’t be too late in the day because talks will already be happening.

Oh, it all depends on who the midfielder is

If its not come out yet, then yeah, but if we are at the stage where we are waiting to see if our No 1 target comes off then I think we will run out of time

But if we could get one more in, either a CM or a wide man, then I'd be pretty happy (not as happy as it looked on Friday with Orsic, Weghorst plus one more like, but these things do happen)

Right Van Der Beek is off to Everton, which means Ramsey is off to Palace

Hope we've got an alternative lined up

Agreed, id be happy with one more who has some craft/guile from midfield, be it wide or central

He's saying "maybe" after interest from Fiorentina and Atalanta, and it all depends on if he wants to move

I'm pretty confident that this won't happen

Yeah. Origi and Weghorst score the goals to keep us up. Cornet plays from the left or right and also continues to chip in.

Van der Beek is a good signing for Everton. And Jonas Wind at 22 is a smart signing for Wolfsburg albeit WW has an outstanding scoring rate.

And no Ramsey never looked like a serious possibility albeit the way things are going who knows.

The deadline is tomorrow. I doubt a player of the quality of Origi is waiting around to see if Burnley can't get a signing over the line.

But again who knows

Nothing has changed with Weghorst. He’s due in for his medical and if that’s happening then everything is agreed. Nixon’s bit in him last night was wrong.

Nixon saying our interest in Origi is likely to cool once we get Weghorst over the line.

Will that mean we are therefore finished in the transfer window as there are few links to other players especially midfield ones.

Nixon had no idea about Orica or Weghorst till very recently

We’d be ideal if Lingard wanted to stay local and imo he’d walk straight into our central midfield. Would benefit Utd too because if he helps us stay up we will be one of the ‘weaker’ PL teams and less threat to them.

I don't think Wood going is a problem.
The rigid 4-4-2 system we routinely play is.
Weghorst is still a very good buy. Well done Alan Pace for trying to buy Orsic as well.
I think Pace would like to see a system change as well, and I am firmly in his corner re that. Sean needs to put more faith in players to adapt.

I can’t imagine that we are going to not at least try for one or two more on deadline day. The funds are clearly there as we were going to get orsic and WW together.

Todd Cantwell talking to Bournemouth according to press down here in Norfolk. Not sure what’s happened to him but he’d be a good signing for us.

Given Pace was adamant that he wanted Dyche to sign a new long term contract as manager, I’m not sure why you think he would now want a system change.

Given Pace was adamant that he wanted Dyche to sign a new long term contract as manager, I’m not sure why you think he would now want a system change.
Tony have you heard if anything else is on the horizon?

We’d be ideal if Lingard wanted to stay local and imo he’d walk straight into our central midfield.
I think it would be the opinion of every man and his dog that Lingard would walk straight into our midfield ;)

Unfortunately more chance of getting Ramsey

And I don't mean Gordon

Todd Cantwell talking to Bournemouth according to press down here in Norfolk. Not sure what’s happened to him but he’d be a good signing for us.
Attitude problems and poor form under two different managers. Wouldn't go near him.

As I’ve said previously, I’ll post what I can when I can and it will always be what I believe to be correct at the time.

I’d still hope we are in for Origi even if we got Weghorst. Cornet can move wide to his best position.
I watched Cornet’s movement against Egypt and aligned with the fact that we already know that he can finish he looked like a centre forward to me
His coming short and hold up and link play is good
Sometimes he comes short and then peels off and goes in to the space he caused behind
His runs in behind are well timed rarely goes offside and he finds space as shown by the goals he’s scored for us
