Ramsey to Rangers on loan. Juventus will cover 100% of Ramsey's wages during the loan period but insist an obligation to buy in the summer needs to be part of the deal.
Suppose the loan isn't an issue due to no wages needed to be offered, it is then buying him in the summer and offering the wages he is demanding. I can imagine it is no where near the Juventus wages, but still high enough to count us out on this.

Ramsey clearly couldn't hack it in the PL. No great loss to us at all.

Would have been a coup but it didn't sit too comfortably. Get the feeling this was one of Paul Waines suspected targets.claretburns wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:08 pmRamsey to Rangers on loan. Not saying he’s coming here because I’ve never w believe he would, but it won’t be money that’s the driving factor if he ends up at Rangers.

I know I find it quite humorous how it’s been concluded it’s an upgrade when he hasn’t kicked a ball in the PL yet, I’m not suggesting he won’t be but either way it’s uncertain. I just hope he does well as I do with all the players.ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 12:49 pmWell indeed we are bottom of the league with one win and few pundits are as confident now as they were before Christmas we will survive. So, there is bound to be doubts.
Also the fact that we don't score many will be a factor for some albeit for others being key to the team will be important; particularly, for older players.
And of course friends and family but he is Dutch who tend to be quite anglophone.
And no doubt players think about what is good for them after their careers have ended and media opportunities will no doubt be better for those who have played in the Premiership as well as Eredivisie and the Bundesliga. I'm sure players and their agents think about all these things.

Suppose with Scotland top two qualifying for Champions League this season, it is guaranteed European football next year for him, plus he would with us but certainly with Rangers be playing 90mins every week in a World Cup year, if Wales qualify through the play offs.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:12 pmRangers won’t pay anything like we do.

I think that's pretty much the feelings of most of us and the reality of the situation. I hope we're wrong but the lack of any rumours apart from Gossling is worrying.Paddy1882 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 12:26 pmThink that will be us done for incomings, could be completely wrong but get the feeling the big lad and orsic were the main to they were confident about with a midfielder being a possibility. Fingers crossed we have more options but signing players in panic who won’t improve us E.G Dan Gosling won’t be the answer for me.

What Juventus are demanding isn't the end point of discussions because Ramsey is entitled to sit out his contract. There needs to be a negotiation, Juve aren't in a position to issue dictats.

why doesn't the Scottish window close until midnight?
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I think our only other deal today before the transfer window closes will be Ross Barkley on loan, I think we might see something in around 4 or 5 hrs time.

I presume you have some notes to help me understand why you think it may be a strange concept to me ? With you counsellor (bull****) experience feel free to show where I have commented anything about him ? I have hardly ever seen him play as I don't watch German football or hardly any champs league football.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:18 pmNo not all but I think it’s wise to at least wait & assess & judge before any firm conclusion are reached, this all might appear a strange concept to you.
I tend to watch someone live before judging him but I won't be rushing to hammer if on here, where as when you aren't wanting to execute criminals, lie about being a counsellor, almost outs himself as a racist when the players take a knee or just tell lies full stop you like to be negative about anything towards the club.

That’s so far off I don’t even know where to start, let’s just be happy we’ve got a new signing in without any arguments eh? or is that too much to ask for, it’s a positive somebody’s been replaced & let’s get behind the lad.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:22 pmI presume you have some notes to help me understand why you think it may be a strange concept to me ? I think the fact that CT has 2 articles written and 1 he wont be using (presumably Orsic) then it would have to be an absolutely well kept secret that must have been worked on for some weeks to get it over the line today. That said, I think with WW and Cornet back, and the same desire from McNeil we saw against Arsenal, and Tarky still in our ranks, I think we could have enough to start wining, beginning Saturday UTC NNN COYC.

I hope Boden isn't saying we are standing down yet. I think Origi remains a strong link but will he agree to come to our club ? I think we will have a bid accepted but will he come ? Its a pity we couldn't get Knight or Lawrence from Derby. Its all been a bit quiet on Barclay recently but perhaps we could still land him on a loan. We desperately need more midfield options or a right side wide player. Come on Clarets lets really go for it.

Barkley is being heavily linked with going back to Everton today so can’t see that happening at all. I have no idea where people are hearing of him being linked to us from as all I can see is Everton and Leeds.

I think in all honesty that is it
Look, its not ideal, but the club have replaced Wood and really couldn't do anything else with Orica
I would have hoped for a long term type signing though ala Collins

There ! that's my thoughtful contribution for a new song to welcome Wout to Turf Moor. !!!!
Hopefully better lyricists will be composing an award winning chant as I write. Not sure what Weghorst rhymes with ????

Don't give up so easily. There is still time and Burnley have in the past managed to grab someone quite unexpected at the last minute. It might still happen and I'm sure they are trying to do so.

We came into the window knowing we needed to improve the team, rather desperately, if we are to stay up (purely going off form). WW might be an upgrade, he might not - though I think he will be. We needed more quality otherwise we are stuck with JBG and Lennon for the rest of the season and I don’t think that’s good enough.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 2:02 pmThats harsh
