if you submit a term sheet signed by both parties up to 2 hours before the window closes then deals can be completed after the deadline. This is reality means just under 2 hours left for the two teams to complete and submit that term sheet, obviously the player has to have agreed but it's the agreement between both parties that's required for the transfer to happen.
However, the actual deal could be announced tomorrow.

Would be interesting seeing the comments this time last year where Garlick was getting pelters from all angles. This window has been as bad if not worse.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:16 pmLove all the super fans that are coming out calling people cry babies.

However we have no Tarks or Vydra next season. If we go down we probably will lose Pope and Dwight. Cornet as well. Still we will still have a load of over the hill out of contract players who we can offer an extension to. We can all thrill to the waddling and huffing and puffing of JBG, Bardsley and Pieters, not overlooking Long and Cork, Stephens, Barnes and JayRod and others into their 30's in terms of age. Next year will make this one seem like a great season. Lets hope we can get out of this mess but it may mean a serious overhaul of tactics, formations, players and maybe the manager.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:02 pmYup
I'd have been looking for us to bring potential this window, though I'm pleased we did replace Wood
And like you, I'm still hopeful for this season
I do like our first eleven, but there isn't much beyond that and that is the concern

Said time and time again with the shape of the squad, players out of contract, financial ‘instability’, if we go down we will go down again next season. This window was huge and it’s ridiculous that we’ve missed this opportunity.LaLigaClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:17 pmHowever we have no Tarks or Vydra next season. Whilst they may have tried…… they have still failed to deliver (barring a late miracle).
I don’t know exactly who’s fault it is, if I’m honest I don’t particularly care for blaming individuals . We haven’t addressed the issues of now or started to address the impending issues of the summer. It’s a collective fault that we all have to suffer

Have to say...it's not looking good is it? All the hype over the past few weeks and all we have done is replace a striker we didn't expect to lose with another albeit better striker. What happened to the players we had on our transfer plan for the month which presumably had taken months itself to be formed? Were all the eggs in the Orsic basket? Or the unrealistic Ramsey one?
Fair to say it has gone badly wrong. Is that two windows now where we have failed to upgrade our midfield?
A lot of ambition but ultimately zero end product. Over promising with the links and under delivering. Quite the opposite of the plan.

Despite all the nonsense talked by the likes of BenWickes (embarrassing) and all the bickering that’s gone on , especially on this thread , on Saturday at Turf Moor we as a group of supporters need to get behind the team like it’s the last time we are ever to step foot in the ground again. We have what we have , they need encouraging and egging on. Negativity from the stands will only be detrimental , let’s get behind the boys , they will do everything they can and so should we, come on Burnley UTC

We may get relegated, the odds are against us.
But it's league football, we would have a challenge to get promoted, something we have done 3 times in recent history and can do again if necessary..
How many years of just avoiding relegation would be seen as some sort of success?

Well, no, it's not but I would have thought with all your critical comments - and the "likes" of others making similar comments - you'd at least have some replacements in mind and the fees you'd be prepared to accept the club pay.

We should be awesome now weve signed the best dutch striker the world has ever seen apart from pele but hes french so doesnt count.
score goals and keep clean sheets and we should be fine, look at leicester city down and out then went on a massive run and won the premiership.

Hopefully Taylor will be back so Brownhill aside (whose place in this is debatable) Saturday could see us field our first choice side and best XI we have fielded this season.
So there is no reason for us not to flood the Turf and roar them to a win. OK, lack of bodies may haunt us later in the season, but we’ll see. We didn’t use many when we finished 7th.
The more I think about it I realise we dodged a bullet with Ramsey - he’d have been jogging around the pitch which would see us overrun, a player in a top side may get away with it but not here. I’d love a Fulgini type but that’s ideal not essential.
Lets focus on how many goals we scored with Cornet starting - plenty. Southampton, Brentford, Palace etc. We were so unlucky to have him missing vs Norwich and vs most of Newcastle. It’s only really Wolves where we looked a bit blunt. Weghorst may add us even more.
So another addition would be great, but if not, we can still do it.

This transfer window has been the same as it’s been for the last few years, we haven’t added to the squad. All we have done is replaced Wood.
If anybody things differently I’d like to hear your views
Let’s hope we can stay up with our aging squad of players starting Saturday with a win against Watford COYB !!
