You could change every single and it'd be the same with him in charge.

Re: Sack Dyche now
I'm in two minds. He has a lot of credit in the bank and for the Championship I think he is as good as anyone to bring us back.
But the game tonight was just poor. Watford playing 3 at the back and we totally filed to exploit the channels at all.
Second half was dreadful

Has huge credit in the bank but if he’s not 100% focused on mounting a proper promotion challenge with us next season then we have to get rid and get someone in who will be.
Who that person is, God only knows.

Can understand why some might think to get rid of SD is the way forward but I honestly don’t think any manager could do anything with this squad. It’s too slow, technically poor, lacking quality or any creativity.

Sack Dyche?
It's clear that Milltown and Murger weren't around to see John Bond or Martin Buchan in charge, they didn't see the Orient game and they didn't experience the slow rise up the league's in more recent decades. Sack Dyche? Be careful what you wish for.

We have made no progress either tactically or technically, the 4-4-2 thing may have been our strength a few seasons back but most coaches have seen through it now.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 8:02 pmMost other clubs would have give him the tools to do the job, he’s not completely blameless but only part of the problem.

And he probably should’ve left when his stock was high, something I think he’ll live to regret.
He’s going to have to reinvent himself like David Moyes has but even then there are no guarantees.

Yes decent but not good enough & not enough, any midtable PL team would probably take 2 or 3 of our players & leave the rest, we are a championship team playing in the premier league.

Re: Sack Dyche now
For once you offer a sensible argument Jakub, even if we did pot Sean, which given that'll probably cost £10m or so, then any incoming manager will still face the same issues in the market that SD has for years, now it is possible that that person could do a better job, but it would be an expensive gamble, especially given Dyche's record in the Champ.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 8:02 pmMost other clubs would have give him the tools to do the job, he’s not completely blameless but only part of the problem.
However eventually there will be a tipping point for some fans, and that point must be coming closer by the week.
The whole club just seems jaded, and as great as Sean has been you do wonder precisely how much patience ALK will show if results don't drastically improve.
That new 4 year contract is looking a big mistake now, as it makes sacking the manager all the harder.

Re: Sack Dyche now
A main thing about management is motivating the team. You have players like McNeil who look like they want to be anywhere but on a football pitch. If Dyche can’t get the team motivated then he is busted as a manger. We won’t get promoted next season playing like that. We need more enthusiasm. You can complain about the players all day but the buck stops with Dyche.

Re: Sack Dyche now
as responsible as Dyche was for the great times he is equally as culpable for the turgid life sucking football of the last two seasons. He is out of ideas and I don't just put that down to lack of quality of players. I don't particularly want them to sack him as he has got us out of the Championship twice but I also wouldn't cry about it if they did. For me the style of play has to change no matter who is in charge and I have little confidence in him doing that. Not an easy decision for Pace and Co at this point as for me it's all about getting out of the Championship

I think part of the problem is that both management and a large part of the squad are in their "comfort zone".
Keep rewarding failure and that's what you get.

I would actually question this with so many OOC, our lack of money and our inability to recruit the the right players to get us out the Division. I am sure Bournemouth and Sheff Utd both thought they would both be straight back up, and look at them.DAVETHEVICAR wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 8:18 pmIf we go down , we have an excellent chance of coming straight back with SD in charge.
