He’s dropped the cat from 3 foot and then pushed it along a tiled floor with his foot. Not nice but he’s not punted the cat through a first floor window! Fine him 2 weeks wages and give it to a cat sanctuary!
Well even if you accept he’s “pushed” the cat with his foot he’s still thrown his shoes at it, chased it round the room and slapped it.
That’s just in the one video.

As others have intimated they should get him to replicate his actions in the lion pen at London Zoo to see what happens. As for Moyes playing him last night that stinks tbh. All this I’m the manager and paid to get results for West Ham bs. He has a squad of players and should have done the right thing and dropped Zouma from 3 feet, kicked him and slapped him in front of the rest of the team.

Not excusing his behaviour but listening to the outrage on the radio I was expecting to see the cat punted through the air. If it wasn’t a high profile player do you think RSPCA would be bothered?

Yes any animal abuse & ill treatment brought to the RSPCAs attention they are duty bound to investigate,

would like to see him prosecuted and banned for life for keeping any pets
By the way at least the cat got up and ran again after the kicking if that happened to him on the pitch the pr**k would be rolling around playing dead

Shocking by Moyes, “ I pick who’s available” think it says more about the owners at WHU to be honest, I’m also surprised that Ms Brady didn’t intervene, although perhaps she did and they dismissed her input.

She was but she’s been vice chairman at WHU for some time, previously MD at Birmingham City.

They don’t. I have been in a position where I have had to refer a number of cases of concern to them, whether it be overcrowding, illegal breeding, dogs constantly barking in distress for prolonged periods and the response has been if the animal is sheltered and fed and unless there are visible signs of un treated sickness, then report it to the Council.

I think you have a rather over inflated view of what the RSPCA does. How many prosecutions of a similar nature have they brought in the last couple of years for this type of incident? They focus on the conditions animals are kept in and ones that aren’t treated by vets, when they should be.

The unwillingness to take action & prosecute usually stems from a lack of resources & evidence, the RSPCA are a very noble organisation but suffer from external factors.

Very noble is perhaps stretching it however I would accept that they are stretched and prioritise other more serious matters. There are far more concerning cases, in just East Lancs, of animals mistreated than this one.

A woman representing West Ham was on TV earlier spouting about them being 'a family club'. What's one of them? I thought they were led by a couple of porn kings but I might be wrong.

It is totally irrelevant, people who work for the RSPCA are passionate about protecting animals, if you pumped the funding into the RSPCA every reported case would be thoroughly investigated.

Same with the police, HMRC, the Council, trading standards, health and safety etc etc etc. the fact is they pick and choose which cases they investigate and they are only involved with this because it’s high profile. There are much worse cases of persistent animal abuse that they ignore.

If it wasn't a high profile player he'd be charged by police instead of no further action.

Disgraceful behaviour by Zouma.
Equally disgraceful and silly is those advocating violence or similar against Zouma.
Kicking cats (or any animal) is wrong, so is attempting to "look hard" by proving "how hard" you are by suggesting similar actions against a human.

Just spotted this on another site.
West Ham fans have a new song.
I'm forever booting Tiddles.
Pretty Tiddles in the air.
She flies so high, nearly reaches the sky,
Then like my dreams she falls and dies.
Cats are always hiding,
Cos I kick them everywhere,
I'm forever booting Tiddles.
Pretty Tiddles in the air.

I’m not defending Zoma, I’m just not accepting the hyperbole and histrionic reaction and setting this incident in a proper context when considering the animal abuse that goes on in this country, much of it ignored by the RSPCA.
Let’s see if the RSPCA get a vets report into the condition of these cats and we can see how abused they are.

According to article 113-6 of the French Penal Code, a French citizen can be prosecuted for criminal acts carried out abroad.
Tough new animal protection laws were introduced in France in 2021, meaning that the ‘mistreatment of animals’ is now punishable by up to four years in prison and a fine equivalent to £50,000.
^^^^^^^^^sounds like an organisation is going after him in France, he could be in a whole heap of trouble

Did you not see the lady who hit her horse late last year, lost her job and career.
The horse was way less likely to be injured than the cat.
But he is a footballer , so should be treated differently eh.

A 250k fine to him is like taking a fiver off a normal person. When you are wealthy beyond normal, perhaps with a net worth of in excess of ten million what does a fine achieve. Absolutely nothing.
If he had genuine remorse he should voluntarily use his spare time in the coming months to work for animal charities so that he is punished from a time rather than financial perspective. He would, of course, need to be watched whilst in the vicinity of those animals of course. He could perhaps do the dirty work like cleaning stables or such like.

She has appeared in Court for causing unnecessary suffering and not taking reasonable steps to protect the animal from pain suffering, injury or disease. She entered not guilty pleas and has chosen a crown court trial. Suspect that trial will hinge on experts reports.

I didn’t say he should be treated differently. I said if he had genuine remorse he should do something different.
In terms of being treated it is interesting that West Ham are losing sponsors and such like, They have handled it very badly as Brady and co should have taken the decision about playing him last night out of Moyes’s hands. It’s very rare you get your own fans booing you to that extent from last night so this shows it is clearly a case of the difference between right and wrong. It also shows that all the hierarchy at West Ham are bothered about is their multi million pound investment. Nice to see the sponsors hitting them where it hurts, in the pocket.

So what’s the difference?? In my eyes NONE. both have responsible jobs and should be looked up to and respected. They should know it and act accordingly.
