Aldi Kamado BBQ

Post by ClaretAL » Tue Feb 15, 2022 1:32 pm

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone owns one of these and are they any good at that price? Also do we have any really good lump wood charcoal suppliers in Burnley, or recommend anything better than the Big K Restaurant grade stuff?

I suppose I should have said in my earlier reply that Rectella is a firm based in Burnley and it looks like you can shop online.....

The bbq looks cheap and flimsy but I highly recommend the charcoal from here

20 quid for 5kg

You sound like an idiot - no offence

Check CPL for their 12kg blue bag - you might have to order a few but don't pay anymore than £1 a kilo

Failing that keep checking gooutdoors for Weber stuff - usually have it at fair price

And you sound like an ill informed bell end, no offence.

If you've not used both, don't offer an opinion.

Oh noes. I've upset you over your charcoal choice!

Bet you wear black gloves when cutting your meat too like every other wannabe douchebag.

Still, as long as SOMETHING is at least making you happy

Well, back to the original topic, I do have one of these (bought least year) and I love it!

You can use it like a normal kettle type charcoal BBQ or cook low and slow, depending on your preferences. They are a little pricey, but if you really enjoy cooking, this provides the ability to make some fantastic flavours - unbearable steaks for one!

There are some great social media groups that have recipe ideas and tips for how to get the best out of it, but enjoy, you’ve made a great purchase!
