Burnley FC

Post by Dano1bfc » Thu Feb 17, 2022 1:59 am

Hey,

I hope you are all well;

I’m going to try and post my thoughts on this season without overlap from any other threads . If I do overlap I’m sorry. Remove if needs be.

Playing squad - Not to blame . Lack of fresh legs . Tarks leaves with my blessing . We knew we were signing an ambitious player when we did the deal with Brentford . Was always going to end this way , I thank him for his service but won’t Mourne him. I expect and think Collins is the better defender.

Midfield - Dale Stephens . Not his fault . The lack of investment is horrifying. The reason we bypass midfield and going down. Westy, Brownhill and Cork good enough to tread water not progress.

McNeill - thread of his own. 120% application. 50% edge. Not the lads fault . Needed reinforcement.

Other wingers … Lennon ( No words ) . Guddy- on form top player . At the mo afraid of injury and where the nxt contract comes from.

Forwards .. Cornet , magician. Wout , great replacement . Wood , goalscorer previously so far not missed . Jay , Vyds , Barney …. It’s a simple job . Score . Even if u don’t have the confidence the fans do.

So … here we are in the gloom. I forgot management… nobody better than Sean either way . Let’s just get behind the boys . It’s not over yet .

Good post.
I see a game then talk to lads that have been top amateurs and they see the game far better than me, you then go many rungs up and hear top ex pro's and managers that can not believe what dyche has achieved with the funds and players he has had available and then you get a small proportion of experts on here slagging him off.

Everybody in the game tells you the hardest part of the game is scoring goals, you have managed to define it as a simple job
