Jordan North
Jordan North is rowing from London to Burnley for Comic Relief.
Good on him for taking on the challenge, and especially so for finishing up in Burnley.

Re: Jordan North
Met him tother week whilst i was out having a pint or two...
Don't listen to him on the radio (i'm a gent of a certain age) but I thought he came across really well on the tellybox on that jungle thingy. Spoke very well about the town, and about the club of course.
Anyway, i thought he was a cracking lad when i met him. Great thing he's doing this. Well done lad.

No. They have moved London 130 miles north... they were fed up of being soft southern shandy drinking `geezers`.
Now they are soft midlander shandy drinking brummies but with marginally better accents...

Saw him on good morning Britain and that knob jockey Richard Madeley kept say Beeernley trying to be funny, rude or he is as p1ssed as his wife first thing.

Brilliant that. I know he had an awful day yesterday and must have been almost at breaking point so we’ll done Jordan for finding that bit extra and completing it. Wouldn’t it be good if we could get a win tomorrow, it would finish his week off nicely. I hope he’s at the game.

Yet the BBC website still cant spell Burnley correctly. It's rather insulting I think

Burnley's little superstar.
Quite a crowd welcomed him home yesterday to say the time he was due wasn't very well publicised.
I read one family gave up waiting after 2 hours waiting around Hapton I think for him.

Seems a decent enough bloke and can’t deny him cashing his name in , in such a fickle industry . Though he’s becoming a bit of a “professional” Burnley fan , not unlike people from Yorkshire who can’t help bringing it up every time they speak .

Re: Jordan North
Just happened across GMB yesterday in a segment where they were interviewing Jordan.
They were asking him about a call he'd received from Sean Dyche wishing him well etc and his face lit up and he was genuinely thrilled and excited that "The Gaffer, Burnley's most successful manager ever" had rang him
Don't watch 'Celebrity' or listen to him on the radio but JN does come across as a sound guy.
Well done that man and a great effort for charity

Great welcome for him at half time, just a shame those of us in the JM stand couldn’t hear a word of his interview due to the PA not working in the stand

Lovely to see him at the Turf - not entirely sure why they couldn’t interview him in the centre circle or on the halfway line so people could see where he was. I’d also love to know what he was saying - the PA System either wasn’t working or isn’t for for purpose in the JMU.

Oh yes, the screens. The new, superb screens. That spent more time advertising and showing us the game we were watching (on a 3 second delay) than they did anything like lineups. It really is just a joke.
And right, whilst we’re at it - where the fornication is Exit A in the cricket field stand

It's either the door in the side of the stand, in the corner next to the Bob Lord Stand, or it's the entrance/exit where there is a handful of seats not allocated to away fans in the away end. It was shown on the concourses. Top marks to Jordan North for his efforts this week. Couldn’t hear what was being said, but I guess most of us could write that interview. Loads of smiling kids and great positivity for the club.

If it was shown on the concourse then why wasn’t it on the big screen (not that we’d have been able to hear it)claret wizard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 9:43 amIt was shown on the concourses. I’m still not sure why they found it necessary to show the match on the screen whilst we were watching it. Think they only showed the lineups once and that was towards the end of the game.
Maybe one CTU can answer

A great advert for Burnley and the Clarets. Pity he ended up the worst pub (if that's what it is ) in the whole of Burnley - then again the canal doesn't run past the beer huis.
