possibly (i'm doubtful of that though), the blackout was over mainland Europe. We have exercises all over the world all the time and I'm yet to see one where the tankers go dark tbh. Either way, it's busy up there today. Polish AF landing in Moldova is an interesting one

Think the blackout occurs every time - this was not a standard excise, it was a major get together of NATO naval forces.

still doesn't explain why everything over central Europe went dark though, everybody knows they were there and had nothing to do with said exercise. Anyway, Polish AF landing in Moldovo is the interesting one, not seen a single military aircraft in Moldovan airspace during this entire conflict

The aircraft may be in response to the Russian fighter-bomber invading Polish airspace report, yet to be confirmed, but reported by News agencies this morning.

yeah we need confirmation on that, standard practice for Russian aircraft but very dangerous during a war if it turns out to be correct

I suspect that was all part of the Kremlin’s attempts to provoke NATO into action. Something we are seeing increasingly; that can be read as Russia’s increasing desperation to have something to pin an ‘I told you so’ flag on - which tells us that Russia is still not buying the Kremlin’s story and they need something momentous to swing opinion behind the war.

Lancasters post may suggest that there is a informal agreement that China’s position would change if NATO attacked Russia - their constant failure to bait NATO requires Russia to look east instead - and Japan and China have their issues. However, this is purely speculative.
