There has been a massive (pre-arranged) NATO exercise up around Finland and Norway for the last couple of weeks, that I think has now ended, that could explain the blackout.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 2:33 pmthis is interesting, for well over a week you couldn't track the tankers etc, just checked this morning and all are visible (as are some fighters) - there will be a point behind that for sure from NATO

possibly (i'm doubtful of that though), the blackout was over mainland Europe. We have exercises all over the world all the time and I'm yet to see one where the tankers go dark tbh. Either way, it's busy up there today. Think the blackout occurs every time - this was not a standard excise, it was a major get together of NATO naval forces.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 2:44 pmpossibly (i'm doubtful of that though), the blackout was over mainland Europe. still doesn't explain why everything over central Europe went dark though, everybody knows they were there and had nothing to do with said exercise. I suspect that was all part of the Kremlin’s attempts to provoke NATO into action. Something we are seeing increasingly; that can be read as Russia’s increasing desperation to have something to pin an ‘I told you so’ flag on - which tells us that Russia is still not buying the Kremlin’s story and they need something momentous to swing opinion behind the war.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 3:02 pmyeah we need confirmation on that, standard practice for Russian aircraft but very dangerous during a war if it turns out to be correct

If Russia is getting to the stage where it needs NATO intervention on the other side, then its getting desperate
Can't stress this enough, Russia has no support at all, but if NATO intervenes in Ukraine (after saying it won't) then they will have a lot more
Everyone keep calm, we are playing this right and its Russia that keeps making the wrong moves and will pay for it
