After being commissioned and paid for by the supporters groups, it's a pity that the Club apparently didn't value and appreciate them. Obviously not enough flashing lights!

I think they’d look nicer now, mounted on the black walls

Can the club not put flashing lights round the edges of each picture? That way the fans get their pictures back on the wall and Mr Pace gets his flashing lights

Mrs T and me came to the Turf this afternoon and this time came down Tod Road and then turned along Harry Potts way.
Don't normally come this way so what hit us was the full gruesomeness of the black walls that just stretch on and on and on.
They are truly awful. They badly need some colour and those pics returning.
Without anything to break up the black it's like approaching a morgue... a cemetery...a funeral parlour.

My guess is they don't want them back because they have something better planned.

Last time I was at the Turf digital versions of the old player portraits were being shown on the big screens outside of the ground as we were queuing to get in, presumably on a loop.

Not for the first time, I'll reply to this. We were told they will be returned to their original positions once the ongoing work is complete, but this information was only received after we'd queried it when they were removed without us even being told.

Are they shown on non-match days?

Tony - What is the ongoing work, do we know how long it's going to take before it's completed and how does it prevent them being put back now?

The players from bygone days is the thread that links us together, ditto supporters of the past, my grandchildren like my children know I'm a dyed in the wool Claret, I want them to understand why and our legends should never take second place to pizza signs.

Not there too :o there's more trees everywhere you look nowadays, be it carbon-offsetting, flood prevention, fauna habit or just improving the view for the tourists. I'm sick a more trees!

Could you pass me my coat bfcjg, I think it's on the peg beneath yours.

5 years today since at least one of the boards went up. I've tweeted the club & chairman asking when they'll be getting put back up. Hopefully I'll get a reply

I tweeted the chairman too looking for some update on CT’s info. I’m not holding my breath on a response and I know it’s not the most important thing in the world but a lot of supporters feel strongly about this and it’s appalling the way this was handled. Total lack of respect for the fans imo.
