When was the last time?
Discussion last night centered around 2 questions.
A/. When was the last time Burnley players started on opposing sides in an international match?
B/. Then it became; one of the teams must be England.
After 2.5 hours I think I have the answer to A/.
Anyone know?

Were we allowed to Google? Not to cheat exactly but to confirm our guess? I won't reveal an answer until you confirm this was allowed

In fact without Google I doubt I'd have got any answer at all. I'm not even sure my answer is correct. But after 2.5 hors I didn't care.

Re: When was the last time?

Assuming Robbie Brady for ROI, but who for NI?

Think I've BPF wrong, Wilks.
For some reason, I thought he was our player when that was played.

Re: When was the last time?
I had Scotland v Northern Ireland from August 2008. Graham Alexander for Scotland and Martin Paterson for Northern Ireland.2 Bee Holed wrote: ↑Wed Mar 30, 2022 9:35 amYes Google away.

Re: When was the last time?
Hello Buxton,
Brady came on after 60mins, K Long came on after 61mins.
The original question was STARTED on opposing sides.
May I refer you to the original post and question?

No worries Buxton.
You see fellow Clarets, it is possible to point things out to each other
in a civilised manner.

Re: When was the last time?
This got me thinking about Harry (Henry Watson)
Thomson who got two caps for Scotland in 1967, wondering if he'd faced any BFC players then. ...
Apparently not, he was on the Scots' tour of Asia and Oceania, playing Israel and the Aussies. Ah, well.

Re: When was the last time?
Those games have only recently been given full international status so it was only last year that Harry became a full international.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 30, 2022 5:46 pmThis got me thinking about Harry (Henry Watson)Thomson who got two caps for Scotland in 1967, wondering if he'd faced any BFC players then. ...

Re: When was the last time?
Gabor Kiraly finished with over 100 caps for Hungary I think. None as a Burnley player though and he didn't get his 100th until after he left.Down_Rover wrote: ↑Wed Mar 30, 2022 10:30 amHas there ever been a Burnley player with 100 caps achieved by Wayne Hennessey yesterday
