Agree with feeling sorry for Weghorst, we have a player who has shown his ability on the floor, just a pity we haven`t got a management team to coach playing to it

we could play all week and not score. lacking any quality. its the same attack sequence all the time, out wide dont take the man on cut back for a deep cross look for the 2nd ball.

First half ends with Westwood making an arse of a simple short pass as he’s done all this first half and all season !

Westwood and a ball, Brownhill and a freekick and oil and water.

What's the similarity?

We are no where near as bad today as some on here would have you believe.

We’ve moved the ball well in patches. Got stung by a ridiculous deflected off the post goal (which granted which should have defended the lead up better).

Honestly there’s a few on here who should be made to watch on repeat the football we served up in the late 80’s and 90’s.

Not sharp enough first half. We need to be making sure we find our players - far too often Norwich have been able to nip in to take possession. We need to play through them the high balls into the centre are met and drink to Hanley and Gibson. Get on you toes Burnley, this lot are there for the taking… take them!

Have to agree re. Westwood. Looks miles off it. Brownhill step away from free kicks. We need to be far more clinical.

Norwich are awful and nowhere near PL standard - sadly Westwood, Lennon & Rodriguez are even worse

Clueless. Lost count the amount of times he aimlessly gives the ball away. And two woeful corners.
Put a couple of decent crosses in and had a goalbound volley blocked. Certainly hasn’t stood out as being particularly worse than anyone else, although some people like to look at things simplistically and pick a fall guy.

Hook Westwood at the very least hopefully not to be seen again this season.

Norwich are **** but we’re no better. Two middling Championship sides right there.

To be fair we've had most of that. Created some openings against a side putting all 11 behind the ball and hitting on the counter.

It's our inability to keep clean sheets that will send us down

Definitely need Vydra on to run in behind. Fearful if we don't get level within 15 minutes.

Two subs needed Vydra & McNeil for Lennon and either Weghorst or Jay. Lennon has not beaten his man once in 47mins.

He’s clearly under instruction to play the rushed clipped balls in behind so it’s more on Dyche to be fair. Problem is there’s literally no one to pick out with them as Weghorst isn’t that player and Jay doesn’t have the acceleration.

Lennon has been far too deep and predictable. And with the amount of ball we’re getting in and around Norwich’s box I think we need to get McNeil on at HT to give us some more quality.

Norwich got this one worked out. Defend deep with plenty of bodies forces Burnley to hit it in the air and not on the deck.
Something needs to change next half.

Westwood blind punt in the corner and Norwich break and have a shot on target.....

lets rugby punt it into the corner instead of passing it into our Dutch international strikers feet, good one

One of the biggest disappointments for me so far has been Lennon. He’s been in great positions (credit for that) with the ball at his feet on plenty of occasions and not made the most of them.

So the two players RVClaret suggested dropping, Westwood and Lennon, are the two worst performing in the half. Get me in there for Stone. ;)

On the plus side, Westwood has started to dominate the game, and those are words I would never have imagined writing.

Vydra could be the difference today, on at 60 for me.

I am absolutely sick of seeing us hoof crosses in. Meat and drink for Norwich.

We get the ball down, get in to the box, low balls, score two. Then revert to type in the next game. So so frustrating.

Not going to get wound up about the goal (although cannot for the life of me understand why we put 11 back and don’t have someone in that position to stop the player running in) but our attacking play is impotent at best.

It’s a funny game this, because if we’d got the fortuitous goal that Norwich did then I think we would all be pretty thrilled with that first half performance. As it is we’re behind and it’s very frustrating. We’ve still got enough to get back into this though as Norwich are letting us have the ball in some very dangerous areas. We just need a lot more quality where it counts.

Weghorst hasn't even had any passes into his feet today, it's harsh but he'd have to be off at half time for me, he's contributed next to nothing. Also be tempted for McNeil for Lennon.

We certainly need to change our approach second half… I’d like to see us get to the line and whip balls across the six yard box at pace - it’s how we scored against Everton twice… need to do that again

I will try to be positive.

Looking to get forward and attack more later in the half. We look more likely to score than them. A goal for us will have them panicking.

There I have said it.

The clipped ball into the channel would be ok if we had anyone with pace up front to get to it so change the predictable tactics that don’t work

He's been pretty ordinary ordinary and we're missing the stuff McNeil has been doing well this season - taking the ball, holding it, drawing men and transferring it to others.

We've got 3 decent technicians in the final third in Jay, Weghorst and Cornet but this term completely overlooks the need to get them quality, well weighted supply. It imagines some how that will happen by magic.

We’ve put some low crosses in today but just haven’t found a man. We’ve played better than we did against Everton but haven’t found a goal. In fact, at this stage of the Everton game I couldn’t even see us getting a point.

Like a lot of the games this season, you'd only have to change 10 seconds of the 90 - us scoring or us conceding and people here would either utter raving about the performance or foaming with rage. Funny old game.
