West Brom ? PLEEEEEASE no BFS in our club.
I remember many teams surviving after appointing him, not a long term solution but I would be open to eight games seems a no brainer to me, get someone else in before the summer transfer window

Seeing that the board don't have much knowledge about the English game, I'll be expecting the return of Brian Laws 🙄

whoever it is I hope the supporters give him and chance. Won't be his (or Pace's) fault that we won 14 out of 68 games.

Fat Sam for the rest of the season. Offer him a million quid. Then hopefully if we do stay up we can have the clear-out of the dead-wood and then the new manager can choose his own players. Even if we go down we can still do the same and thus hopefully play some attractive and entertaining football.

He is not the answer imo but the default for most fans who forget everything after he kept a few teams from being relegated.

West Brom was his last job where he accrued a massive 0.73 points per game from them.
This is compared to his prime at Bolton, Blackburn, West Ham and Newcastle where his average points per game was between 1.25 and 1.5.

I genuinely don't think he has it in him anymore.

I would rather someone who is going to be here next season come in and let them get to know the club and the players and let them better understand the challenges.

For what its worth, I'm rubbish when it comes to analysing this stuff but here goes from where my thoughts are with next manager.

Rafa

He for me would have the credibility and has the experience of championship promotion too and no doubt has good connections to bring players in. Whether we would be a good fit with him is a different story in terms of finances and the players he would have to work with I don't know.

OGS

Knows the area well, may fancy the opportunity to go to a club which will give him time and support and create something for himself rather than just being held up to SAF wonder years.

Villa Boas

Bit of a curveball one for me is this - has experience of managing in the French league most recently with Marseille - may be seen as a good manager to help us rebuild with footballers from the continent.

Claudio Ranieri

Possibly too old at 70 and his last job was a t a club known for not giving managers time. He has pedigree and contacts and did well with Leicester team.

Given Pace brought in Cornet, Weghorst and nearly Orsic I doubt it will be the likes of Fat Sam. I've absolutely no preference at this point but whoever comes in I hope to god they play fast attacking football.

Benitez moans all the time that he doesn't have what he wants. It will be a young up and coming manager with a profile I would imagine.

To be fair, I have been impressed with him at Derby in terms of how he’s handled himself/the situation, how he’s galvanised the squad and the results he’s got. He knows the Championship and could potentially get us up playing decent football. Worse options, I’d say.

Although I honestly can’t tell you who I want.

It’ll be someone who will use the U23 players and give youth a chance, along with playing flowing football. That’s what the board are after.

Can’t see it being a big name.

Again it's what ambition the owners have got - if you look at the rebuild required and IF we drop and with SD gone we don't know how many players will want to leave / resign. Unless Mee offered a future coaching role he might follow tarks and pope and Cornet ? Who knows.
If we need stability then we need a strong man manager a "Neil Warnock" type, if young and unproven Duncan Ferguson, Rooney or the guy at Blackpool would fit the bill.

I have no idea who I want. It’s a grim situation to be honest. Daniel Farke does it in the championship and he’s available. Whoever it is, it will show us what this board is about. It has to be someone with pedigree otherwise it is a downgrade on SD.

Yes, most Burnley fans are really sad. He’s been excellent for 9+ years, especially given how little money there was for new signings.

If Dyche has been done dirty behind the scenes (I.e, fallen out with Pace) I don’t foresee Warburton and/or Wilder being interested. Good pals of Dyche’s I think?

I've no idea who I'd want either.

As far as I'm concerned this is an appointment for the Championship as I've already accepted we're down now.

I would be open to giving someone like Carrick a go just because I just don't want one of those failed merry-go-round names like Fat Sam, Bilic, Pardew etc.

Massive appointment though because in all likelihood we've got one shot at getting back and then it's fire sale time again.

That wouldn't make a difference based on manager solidarity if they refused it'd be because the offer didn't interest them, I don't think he's been treat unfairly a professional business decisions been made based upon poor form & results & where we sit in the league, pace probably had faith in dyche at the start of season not be in this position & he's simply had enough of him as lots of the fanbase had.
