Fair enough. I'd totally forgot about the shenanigans up at Morecambe.Cleveleys_claret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 5:00 pmBy all accounts from other teams he has played this season he is supposed to be nastiest manager most fans have ever seen at their ground, his backroom staff have been known and reported this season for spitting at fans, mocking disabled supporters, starting incidents with opposing coaching staff, disrupting opposition players warm ups on the sidelines, infringing the pitch area during play

what really be interesting is rereading the pre dyche next manager posts and the reaction when he appointed.
Have you got the links CT?

Name the next Manager you want (ACTUALLY)
Pretty simple, out of the realistic appointments, name the one you want.....
Wayne Rooney for me.
(please refrain from quoting others and arguing/debating, just 1 name)

I don't want Rooney or Barton.....someone out of the blue or maybe Duff....maybe Donald Trump.....not sure really
Re: Name the next Manager you want (ACTUALLY)
For me Allardyce until the end of the season as he could keep
Is up and after that I’d like someone with a bit of pedigree like Rafa Benitez

Re: Name the next manager
yes I know but Tony might have a link to old clarets mad topic. I think I remember the fans wanting Mick McCarthy and there were rumours of paolo di canio. What i do remember is that the other two that were interviewed were low profile and possibly scotttish.
I think there was a lot of negativity around Dyches appointment.

No idea to be honest. I did like Wilder at Sheff Utd.

Rooney for me but I think he'll want to see the season out with Derby, just think that's his character.
Wouldn't mind Duffo but I get why people don't want the sentiment to play a part.

I wouldn't want a stop gap. It needs to be the number 1 target straight from the off. I'd like Jokanovich, but wouldn't mind Bilic.

You're celebrating Dyche leaving like you've won the lottery but want Allardyce to replace him?
You've got it bad.

Allardyce is far superior to Dyche in every way as a manager.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 9:04 pmYou're celebrating Dyche leaving like you've won the lottery but want Allardyce to replace him?

I don’t want him long term but would be a sensible appointment until the end of the season for us right now.
Rafa for me would be in dreamland to have someone with so much pedigree managing us.

Yes, I imagine he’ll command respect, as he evidently is at Derby, getting 100% performances out of players at a
basket case club. He isn’t my number one choice for various reasons but don’t understand this dismissive attitude.

Re: Name the next Manager you want (ACTUALLY)
Michael Duff has shown he can work wonders with a low budget. And with recent 4-4 and 5-5 results, the entertainment value might be there too!

Rooney. Done an incredible job at Derby under ridiculous circumstances and by all accounts he has them playing decent football.
He may help attract players with his name too. Every little helps in that department..especially if we go down.

Re: Name the next manager
Well tbf I have to hold my hand up and say I was totally underwhelmed when we appointed Dyche and after his first season (he was there for about 2 thirds of it) when we really were poor, especially at home and his lackluster first summer transfer window, I felt he must have come very, very close to being sacked and I really couldn't have cared less at the time.brexit wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 9:00 pmyes I know but Tony might have a link to old clarets mad topic. He was my favourite at the time. I knew SD as a player but nothing about him since then, at the time. Remember him popping up on Sky Sports News and thinking, oh its that Centre-half I used to wish we’d sign lolCubanforever wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 9:25 pmWouldn't mind him getting a chance now....at the very least we'd have a smile on our faces

Re: Name the next manager
Interesting that carrick has gone from 50-1 today into 12-1
Re: Name the next manager
I think Pace will want Carrick. He'll want someone with a bit of a profile and Carrick with his Man United links obviously fits this. And he'll be relatively cheap, you'd imagine. Don't know whether it'd be a good or a bad appointment but it feels one which Pace would want.
