Re: A Hero past away
That's a really heartfelt and touching tribute pureclaret. You've done your late Dad genuine credit.
We've lost a true Claret by the sounds of it. It reads like he led an honest, decent (and eventful) life and it must have been an honour to have known him.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Your Dad will live on in the values he instilled in you.

Very moving tribute. You don’t need to be a wordsmith to write what you feel, those who read it will get every word.
It would have been my Dad’s birthday this week. I’ll always miss him say to my right, kicking every ball until he got cramp. The pain will never go away, it just gets easier to deal with.

Hi Chris,
I managed to raise a glass to your Hero dad.
You don’t need a wordsmith, and further to our conversation earlier today, you do not need to be concerned re a eulogy, just let it keep coming from your heart and it will be fine.
Condolences and best wishes Jim.
