General Info - Watford (a)
Re: General Info - Watford (a)
For those looking to park I have pre paid with CitiPark to park at Church multi storey. Just off ring road and facing Vicarage Road. £4 for 5 hours with a ten minute walk straight down Vicarage Road to the ground.

Another frustrating day for travelling fans. It has to be time to stop bank holiday closures to train lines.
The Met line seems favourite for me at least.

I have done the same, it is my usual car park for Watford anyway and takes away the hassle of the scrum to pay for parking after the game.

Re: General Info - Watford (a)
We'll they've been taken off sale online, which usually indicates that it's down to the last few single tickets, which are only available from the Ticket Office.

Can't wait for the Clarets to descend on Watford high street and pack the pubs. We will be in the Walkabout as it will be showing the early kick off.
Re: General Info - Watford (a)
Just been down and got a couple and not many left apparently. If anybody's thinking about a last minute trip I wouldn't leave it much longer.

We are on train from Preston then Bus from MK Cons. wot time you leave MK? We are on 1057 BusTargetman wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 4:06 pmOnly the underground is operating this weekend.
Overground line from Kings Cross/Euston to Watford Junction is closed.
The underground journey can take well over 1 hour particularly when having to change en route.
We are getting the train from Piccadilly to Milton Keynes then rail replacement bus from there to Watford Junction.
Re: General Info - Watford (a)
Think our bus time is 10.35, arrive Watford 12.20.
We did a similar journey with Avanti to West Ham a couple of weeks ago at Easter when Euston was also closed.
We got the bus from M Keynes to Bedford then train from there to St Pancras. On both outward and return journeys the replacement bus service was very efficient and there was no waiting around.

For anyone wanting a drink before ko, they don't sell alcohol in the ground. The closest 'away' pub to the ground is the Oddfellows, situated between the Town Centre and the ground. In fact 2/3 mins walk from the ground.

As several have mentioned, Oddfellows is the closest. The spoons on the high street is always full of clarets.

Re: General Info - Watford (a)
The TFL weekend email says no disruption on the Met line (barring the reduced service due to wonky wheels). Therefore anyone coming into Euston or Kings X can get to Watford tube station relatively easily.

Ticket Office: Watford FC has a designated ticket office for visiting supporters, should you require assistance on arrival.
Here to Help: The Vicarage Roadies help team (dressed in green) will be in various locations around the ground to offer help if needed.
Stadium Entry: Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off. In order to meet our security obligations, supporters are advised to arrive no later than 45 minutes before kick-off to avoid any potential delays. All supporters will be searched prior to entry into the ground.
Designated 'Away' Pub: The officially designated ‘away’ pub is The Oddfellows, 14 Fearnley Street, WD18 0RD. This is around a 6-minute walk to the ground.
Food and Beverages: Supporters can find a variety of pies in the away end, with a chickpea and tomato vegetarian option available, along with hot and cold soft drinks. Alcohol is not served in the away end due to the limited concourse size.
Bag Policy: Watford FC politely requests that supporters avoid bringing large bags as these may not be allowed into the ground. Bags larger than A4 will not be permitted into Vicarage Road.
Bottles and Flasks: Plastic bottles are allowed into the stadium. All bottles will be opened to check contents before entry. Bottle tops will be able to remain on any drinks that are taken into the stadium. Flasks are discouraged, contents will also be checked before entry.

Programmes: Programmes are available to purchase from The Hornets Shop as well as various vendors situated around the stadium. Digital versions can be requested by emailing ticket.office@watfordfc.com
Reporting anti-social behaviour: Watford FC operates a zero tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour in any form and expects all supporters to treat each other with respect. If you witness or experience any behaviour in the stadium which you believe falls below the standard that you would expect, we encourage you to report it as soon as possible.
To report an incident or a concern on matchday please notify the nearest steward or use the SMS reporting service by texting a description of the incident and the block, row and seat number(s) to 07825 535269. Arrived and parked a mile from the ground, as usual.
Bit busier than usual. Another 30 yards added to my walk!
Very sunny!
