Watford v Burnley
Re: Watford v Burnley
the problem is the midfield is not creating, if the strikers don't get the service its difficult form them to score

Agree to disagree. Both teams have been poor at passing today.burnleymik wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 4:19 pmLet's be honest it's their ball retention and passing that has been the biggest issue. That isn't down to Watfords tactics.

The cheating and diving is shocking by Watford but the ref just let’s it go on and on.

He’s using it up as much as he can do as it’s the last match it’ll be able to be used.

Seasoned ex England manager (one of only a handful to get the gig on merit) v U23 coach.

Re: Watford v Burnley
I don't blame Weghorst for being angry at being taken off. Why can't our coaches ever seem to realise that it's the midfield that needs changing, not the strikers?
Barnes is hardly going to do better than Wout when he'll receive exactly the same non-existent feeds...
Wout was one of the top scorers in the Bundesliga for goodness' sake - it's not him, it's us. And by us I mean our midfield, which has needed sorting out for a good couple of years now

Sadly no viable options available from the bench to do that.HyperClaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 4:27 pmI don't blame Weghorst for being angry at being taken off. Why can't our coaches ever seem to realise that it's the midfield that needs changing, not the strikers?

McNeil absolute stinks it this season, plays his best two games of the season on the right and people ask for him to go back on the left, utterly baffling.

Because in this instance we need it for the betterment of the team because Lennon is completely ineffective on the leftKefkaClaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 4:28 pmMcNeil absolute stinks it this season, plays his best two games of the season on the right and people ask for him to go back on the left, utterly baffling.

Mcneil stills seems to want it. Just not coming off for him and no one gambling on the left for the balls he is putting across. Seems Lennon and Mcneil swapped?

Rouwen Hennings at the age of 33 got 15 goals in the Bundesliga two seasons ago.HyperClaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 4:27 pmI don't blame Weghorst for being angry at being taken off. Why can't our coaches ever seem to realise that it's the midfield that needs changing, not the strikers?

Re: Watford v Burnley
That may be true, but either way, taking off Weghorst - who is one of the few players who actually looks like he cares/who could potentially pull a goal out of nothing - was not the correct decision.
(Obviously, I desperately hope I'm proven wrong. But I doubt it)
