Re: Watford v Burnley
Genuine tears here including the grandkids who I have scared the living daylights of with my shouting, jumping & crying at the goals and the final whistle.
A brilliant job done today.

These stats make it look far more one sided than Phil Birds commentary suggested

I'm going to pretend we're 2 points clear since Everton have a game in hand and play Watford away...

Everton could easily get points v Chelsea. Man City playing a weak team at Leeds. Well weak by there standards

The great escape is getting nearer and nearer. A few weeks ago I thought we were tied on to drop. This resurgence has been nothing short of miraculous.
Re: Watford v Burnley
Surely Watford can't go 12 consecutive home losses!!!!!!! Or can they?

Expert.

The Premier league prediction league paints a different picture ...rock bottom with 13 points I believe....gave up when the going got tough, unlike the the much maligned Josh Brownhill who never gives in despite being torn to pieces by many on here....well played Burnley and well played Josh.

Re: Watford v Burnley
You can still get Leeds at 6/1 for relegation which given the he fixtures seems overpriced. Incredible result after a shaky performance today, but you need that sometimes. What a lift. Could we win 4 from 5?? I expect Everton will get some points at home after their next two so a big lead now is vital as we go to spurs.

Re: Watford v Burnley
Not that weak they still have Foden, Grealish, Jesus and Sterling to name a few, plenty of goals in that bunch.
Everton I do fancy to get a result against Chelsea, but whether that would be a win I have my doubts.

Absolutely ******* marvellous result.

Gundagon, foden, rodri and Grealish in a midfield ain't bad.
Re: Watford v Burnley
What a great reaction from the bench with the Brownhill goal

Re: Watford v Burnley
The first half maybe a result of team being delayed in getting to ground then jay rod injury plus Tarkowski ha serious family problems yesterday. Bloody brilliant win . The fans were amazing today as well

Re: Watford v Burnley
Interestingly I only followed the game on the this board until the last few minutes just after the winner I was thinking we had been totally dominated from the comments on here. Glenn Murray summarising said we deserved to win we were the better side after Watfords goal mad the difference. The noise from the fans was unreal though.

We should be. Not for entertainment value but for talking points.
The pundits could dissect that performance all night long with all the different issues that it brings to the game.

Crapping myself that Tarky being offside would be judged as. Interfering with play.

Been out visiting family all day
First, what a result
Second, one game at a time
Third, we've given ourselves a real chance, from being almost dead and buried 10 days ago

Re: Watford v Burnley
Watford were crap. Barring the 1 shot on target that went in, they posed fairly little threat. To be fair, for 60 mins we were pretty crap too. But I personally thought for the rest of it there was only 1 team in it. Claret tinted specs maybe, but we were the best team.JarrowClaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 5:59 pmInterestingly I only followed the game on the this board until the last few minutes just after the winner I was thinking we had been totally dominated from the comments on here. Did anyone else think Corks goal for us against Preston in his loan spell was similar to his goal today?

Re: Watford v Burnley
This has got to be on par with the Leicester revival from a few seasons ago. Could we take this momentum and push for Europe next season?
Re: Watford v Burnley
Some of these comments are just typical of a large amount of Burnley supporters. Can't wait to to get on the teams back when the chips are down.
You would have thought a game no longer lasts 90 mins +
Glad the negative ones that were commenting on here were not backing the lads in the away end at Vicarage.
