PA System again!

Post by fidelcastro » Sun May 08, 2022 11:26 am

Could anyone actually hear it properly? I was sat in the JML and it was shockingly bad.

It's not the first time there have been problems with it this season, so why has it got so bad and do they actually do any tests before a matchday? :(

It needs sorting out. Apparently one of the announcements on the PA yesterday sounded like they were announcing a fire drill requesting fans to evacuate the ground.

I was queuing at a Kiosk at half time (Bob Lord) and the levels were ridiculous. Way too loud. The whole system needs removing and replacing with new.

The speakers in the Jimmy Mac have been bad all season. Crackling, certain ones not working et z

Yesterday I don’t think any of them were working.

Does make you wonder what would happen in the Jimmy Mac if they actually needed to tell us something.

The PA continues to be far too loud for spectators in the Bob Lord Stand. It’s unpleasant being subjected to the near constant loud noise and frustrating that you can barely hold a conversation with fellow supporters because of it. That the PA announcer habitually shouts into the microphone simply makes the situation worse.

The linesmen use their flags for semaphore?

It does make you wonder how we can compete in the toughest league in the world when we have owners who couldn’t run a village fete.

There is a different system for emergency announcements. As was evident in the Hannover game.

What's the back up? We had a game recently with no PA system available

Not the one over on the Bob Lord side. Don't think I've seen him make any movement with his flag this season.

There was a huge delay when Carney Chukwuemeka came on between announcing his first name and surname. I thought that the sound had packed in completely, then I realised it was just the announcer readying himself for the tongue twister.

He must be praying for a return to the Championship where there will be far more players called Smith, Gray and Johnson.

Chukwuemeka looked very raw but could be a very good player.

It doesn't output the music, or anything from the PA desk. It's a separate system that comes straight from the police box.
