Arm outstretched for balance is not an unnatural Position
He look like he was trying to fly. That wasn't balance.

Replay shows it definitely connected with his arm.
The angle they showed after the one the ref saw, looked like it rolled off his chest, onto his arm. That would not be a pen. However, not revealed until after the decision!

Bent.

I get the point that his arm is in an ‘unnatural’ position but surely if the ball takes a split second to hit it then this must also be taken in consideration.

Hope the team are fuming and come out all guns blazing in the second half. Injustice like that can work both ways, hopefully Burnley will be fired up and not give Spurs an inch in the second half. Just need to be careful not to give excuses for those assholes to send any off our players, they’d love that.

The ref has given Jackson’s team talk at half time for him. Those lads have done great in that first half and if there’s any justice, they will come out all fired up and we will get something from today.
I fully agree, but the sad reality is we had them licked with that system but will now need to open up (which is what they want). Such a shame.

This system wins at Villa.

Absolutely - 40cm from the ball and it travelling at 50-60mph or something. What’s he meant to do?

They just said Nick Pope got a Yellow card in the first half for time wasting!!

How when The Villa keeper didn't get one in our last home game, who was doing worse every time it went into touch for 90 mins.

Refs are deciding who stays up and who goes into CL etc. corruption at the highest level. Spurs needed a helping hand and got 1 from the ref not from Barnes. And yes I saw the smirk. Not once but twice. Once before saying he was going to look at monitor and one after

We've had claims that not given for us
That’s it. The rule is so subjective it just gives licence for them to pick and choose. We have had so many of those not given this season. They don’t get given and it’s “he could never have got out the way”. They get given and it’s “in todays game it’s a penalty “.

If we’re not gonna get anything out of this game I really hope that Barnes can do a Kevin Ball/David Dunn on Kane and put him out of action for a season or 2. He is a cheating smug tw@.

Roberts ball back in hits Sessegnon’s arm from 20cm away.

Penalty there?

Ah, no. No claim. Shock.

Watching on TV
Glen Hoddle best co commentator on any channel by a million miles
Praising Burnley no end
Pundits say never a penalty when they played but they are given now
Hoddle saying Barnes has reason to be gutted as he did not intentionally hand the ball- ball to hand

Kane just hit Taylor’s arm there, think that’s a pen. Was at most 40cm away. Has to be, not fully tucked in.

I don’t think Hoddle has seen much of Weghorst - he’s obsessed with him being a huge threat on crosses.
