You all need to realise that you can not criticise Liverpool or their fans on this board
Or you could wait and find out the full facts

Well you can, but critisising anyone without some semblance of facts is jumping the gun.
Did not seem to apply last week when it was Rangers

They should wait their turn then.
If you’ve paid a kings ransom for a ticket and it looks like you’re going to miss the kick off then panic sets in.

Does look like from twitter that the police are being much harsher with the Liverpool fans, and checking much more
Again, its ALL English fans reputation that is not helping here
Or, security check points get choked up with people
Without valid tickets arguing they should get through…..
Is it a security difference of approach, or a fan behaviour difference?

Dunno Dan, but I think its absolutely a no brainer that England fans reputation precedes them
I seeing Real Madrid and Liverpool fans with kids getting pepper sprayed on twitter, so thats not good at all

Seems pretty clear that hundreds/thousands of Scousers without tickets have tried to storm the gates.

Yes, but what isn’t obvious is why.
by most accounts there are a lack of gates open which is unforgivable

Have to be honest here, I think anyone who goes to a game without a ticket just to "sample the atmosphere" is potentially someone who might build up the courage to try to get in without one
And there are thousands of ticketless fans in Paris
Doesn't help

Some posters clearly can't separate their egos and prejudices from the situation, and accept they haven't the foggiest what's gone on here and who might to be to blame. They've seen a few videos on Twitter so their favourite version of events must be true.
Sad to see.

Well the hold up is supposed to be the numerous checkpoints leading to the ground so I’m not sure how anyone without a ticket would get near the gates.

I was at the Stade de France for Euro 2016, sat in the end that Liverpool are at.
It took us over 2hrs to get through the 2 security checks and then turnstiles showing tickets on each occasion and we mentioned then that there was a bottleneck/funnel towards a single turnstile

I was there for the 2006 Champions League final, Arsenal v Barcelona.
No problems at all, either between the two sets of fans, or getting in.
Things appear to have changed since then.

Lovely little bit of skill there from Benzema, stopped the ball with his right foot and side heeled it with his left to a team mate without breaking his stride

Thankfully this forum wasn't around 30 odd years ago. Some really poor comments.
Some shocking comments.
Football Supporters Europe have said that none of the problem is the responsibility of the fans.

Think Liverpool need to take their chances while they're on top, RM will surely
start to apply their own pressure soon.

Modric, Casemiro and Kroos sounds a wonderful midfield yet all 3 English clubs they’ve played have made them look like old men.

I really hope Madrid win.
Victim FC and their arrogant manager - especially after his criticism of “small” clubs like BFC - deserve nothing.
And just imagine how much they will winge if they do lose….

Steve McManaman shouldn’t be a commentator.

Too many Premier League games are badly refereed.
