Where's everyone of to this summer, if indeed you are getting away.
I am going back to Turkey

and Icmeler, familiar with the resort and got fortunate with flight prices if not flight times but at the time of booking they were half the price of the daytime flights.
Downside travel out on the 30th July and back on the 14th August, which means missing 3 Saturdays at the start of the season. Having to take school holidays and changing jobs left a limited window to travel.

We have booked a week in August but really can’t get excited by it given all the challenges people are having at airports.
Thankfully we are going later in the summer holidays so hoping it will be a bit quieter and after all the rush at end of July/start of august.
Once I’m there, it’s all inclusive and I’m hoping for a week of pure downtime and just being able to have a few drinks and nice food and to forget about the world for for a while whilst getting a bit of colour

Barcelona to Singapore? Thats some cruise if I may say.
Both places I have worked in. Both great places in their way, particularly Barcelona.
I'm scheduled to go to Japan via Shanghai. Just waiting for Shanghai to re-open. Another of my favourite cities. Spent a lot of time there.

We are having two weeks in a Tyrolean spa hotel in July. Had it booked in 2020, and obviously we couldn't go. Same in 2021. Can't wait.

ClaretDiver - slightly off topic but did you see the sky docu on Koh Tao and if so what are your views on the inference of foreigners going missing and dying in mysterious circumstances ?

I was living there when Hannah and David were murdered, it was at the bottom of my pathway....I watched the doco and there are probably some truths in it but, hand on heart, in 5 years of actually living on Koh Tao I never experienced any problems with the locals. There were rumours at the time about who did that particular murder but the others.....I think relatives were clutching at straws to find blame rather than admit their relatives were responsible for their own demise....just my opinion though!

I’ve dived Sail Rock there, and HTMS Mataphon. Last time I’ve dived, ever, was Christmas Eve 2004 at koh-doc-mai. I was due to dive again Boxing Day, but I got a call about a death in the family Christmas day and took a flight to Bangkok that evening….

Touring cycling in France. Four old blokes on old steel bicycles, plenty of nice food and Cotes du Rhône with a bit of cycling to boot. Then on my return straight off again, taking my wife to Paphos for two weeks. Apprehensive about Manchester airport delays though.

Been to Kusadasi and did the trip to Ephesus twice Ian

enjoyed it immensely.
Kusadsi a typical resort town for cruise ships with the usual bars etc (the Markets great if you are in town when its on) but if you are off a cruse ship then its probably a choice between Ephesus or Pammukale/Hieropololis (another great day out visit)

Ephesus is great. Check out the Roman’s secret tunnel between the library and brothel. I don’t think it was for blokes sneaking out of the brothel to go for a visit to the library. Also the oldest advertisement ever discovered…….again for a brothel!

On my first trip in 1973, I went on a ferry to Samos, which was totally untouched by tourism. I got 6 stamps in my passport! 3 out and 3 back! They don't like each other!

Pembrokeshire again (3rd year running)
Got spooked a bit by the COVID resurgence in the winter so we just rebooked the airbnb we've stayed in the last two summers
Five minutes from a great body boarding beach for the kids, and loads of walking and cycling
Could be worse

Seeing al the plans so many other posters have makes me feel very unadventurous ( oh go on then - boring).
Like Lancasterclaret I’m still a bit anxious about COVID - two years of shielding has become ingrained in my psyche. So, not foreign trips for me. Mind you - living in a beautiful village on the Cornish coast, literally a 20 minute dog-walk from Maenporth beach makes any “staycation “ very enjoyable!
Happy Hols, all.

First ever time to Majorca for me, a place called Cala Bona. After going to Cornwall last year (and being underwhelmed) i’m really looking forward to going abroad. Going to miss the first two weeks of the season though.

Currently in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Beautiful location but strangely not popular with Brits possibly because it requires driving considerable distances to reach.

Not anxious about catching COVID, just got a bit concerned about places closing and not being able to go anywhere
Bit silly with hindsight

I live two minutes from a beautiful Mediterranean beach here on the Costa del Sol and I am not looking forward to all the bloody tourists from Madrid, UK, Germany, Scandinavia etc coming down here taking up all the parking spots, clogging up the beaches and restaurants etc.

I lived on Hilton Head for a year. As you say it's a beautiful place, but found it a bit strange. Felt really remote and isolated.

Struggle to justify trips in Summer with living here, although im going to Milan to see The Stones in mid June.
Weekend by the lake this weekend and again in July but otherwise my sun lounger and pool will have to do lol
Did a week's AI on Costa del Sol in Feb, and doing the same in Croatia in September then Costa del Sol in October.
The perks of being a single bloke working in tech ha
