Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
For the love of God get VAR out of this sport. The tech is brilliant but the officials are absolutely horrendous (no surprise it’s a Moss and Tierney combo) and there’s just no consistency.

Regardless of the theatrics, the guy clearly (clearly!) got tripped there.
Poor Huddersfield.
Poor Huddersfield.

None if Tierney's operating it, yet more VAR controversy following yesterday's L2 PO final.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
The kind of decision Moss and Tierney rarely give us. They are big club referees.
Stone wall pen. Huddersfield player naive to try to pull his leg away, made it look more marginal than it was.
Another thing I won’t miss is these two clowns reffing us every week.

Commentator "not clear for VAR" but it's clear enough for the thousands watching on TV?

Just hope we can get up automatically without having to play games with VAR active.

You get to a play off final and get lumbered with Moss & Tierney.

All 46 of our games next season will have VAR I believe.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 6:07 pmJust hope we can get up automatically without having to play games with VAR active.

The same Paul Tierney that couldn’t keep the whistle out of his month whenever a villa player fell over the other week

How much has Moss and VAR cost Forest today? Good price whatever they got it for.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Should of had two pens, 1st one was a terrible decision then to book the player for diving!
The more I see the 2nd one I think it's a penalty

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
That’s another blatant pen. What’s going on?
Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Same old, boys club. Tierney dare not go against Moss otherwise it causes controversy.

When you watch stuff like this it’s hard to not believe the officials are bent.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Obvious bias. As we have been discussing for a couple of weeks. Other way round, Forest get those. Appalls me it is so obvious and so unaccountable and untransparent.
Come on Huddersfield.
Come on Huddersfield.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
VAR don’t even bother to check a second clear penalty? I wanted Forest to win but I won’t be pleased if this is how it comes about, **** refs continue to ruin English football.

It is, I read it earlier this year but can't remember if it has been voted in for next season or the year after.

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Don't know the details, but Nigel Clough wasn't happy with VAR being used for these finals when it hasn't been used in the lower leagues all season.claretburns wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 6:07 pmWhat happened yesterday? I watched the full game but don't remember any VAR issues.
Nothing more specific than that I believe, and his biggest complaint is that neither club were consulted prior to the games.
For me it's not VAR itself which is the problem, it's the tossers reffing the games and then also making VAR calls which is the real issue.

Another reason for me wanting Huddersfield to win - they’ve just shown the bloke who owns Forest & Olympiacos.

I still want Forest to win as I think they'll be the stronger of the two next year in the Championship but I do feel for Huddersfield after them two penalties.

If this match means £170 million to the winners presumably that is also the loss to relegated clubs? Makes you think.

Moss is retiring isn't he., Tierney I guess not, just hope the refs are better in the Championship.claretburns wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 6:11 pmA second penalty not given, can Moss and Tierney retire please?

Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
I just don't get what VAR is supposed to do. They just said on Sky that the ref couldn't see through all the bodies with the second pen, so why doesn't VAR tell the ref what happened and get him to look at the monitor.
Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Didn't look like a penalty in slow motion on VAR.

I’d forgotten what went on in that dressing room area in Athens.
Makes me feel even worse for fellow small town Huddersfield. Football is gradually being killed off with who owns some of these clubs.

Now don't apply common sense towards referees for goodness sake.Conroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 6:20 pmI just don't get what VAR is supposed to do. Re: Forest or Huddersfield?
Its worse than that. You have to factor in lost income due to relegation escape clauses in contracts - could easily add £50m for clubs with some top talent, like us (Cornet, Collins etc).
You also have to factor in multiple years - about 2/1 to drop and about 4/1 to bounce back, so odds are it affects 2+ years.

As I said earlier, a good mate of mine is a Forest supporter and he
says that they got away with those two penalty shouts.
Gutted for Huddersfield.

Forest will be back in the championship this time next year along with Bournemouth.
