Name me an exciting International side to watch
Hungary. Or any other side with the vaguest semblance of a plan.

Not surprised Southgate doesn’t know what’s going on…. He’s too busy posting on here defending his **** poor team selection and even poorer tactics.

I know these games mean very little, but we look clueless. And if you look back at the Euros and last World Cup, how many good teams have we actually beaten? It's bad timing, but questions have to be asked of Southgate

You're an idiot if you think a dive is the same as a player losing his footing. He slipped over and didn't ask for a penalty, a dive would indicate he tried to con the referee.

At least with Stones off we can dispense with one of the holding midfielders.

I think the Ref did that purely to give Stones a breather and stop us conceding anymore to be honest.

Sort of reminds me of the days when we couldn’t work out how to fit Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes into the same team.

We’re not blessed at centre half, left back or up front - Kane aside. Each time I watch us, the focus seems to be more on covering up for the weaknesses (laughable tonight) than making the most of the strengths.

This may well be a young team who have little experience playing together but they’re supposedly top players, playing against a team ranked lower than Scotland!

Southgate for all he’s had his moments and for a period got the fans back on side seems to be losing it very, very quickly.

you need a bigger TV, his foot was clearly clipped. Also, the more you call people names the sillier you look and you are better than that mate.

Many have been pointing this out since Southgate was first appointed.

We're dreadful (and I do mean shockingly bad) in exactly the same way his MIddlesbrough side were.

Can't score from open play. Strange hesitant tactics that seemingly mistake football with chess. Slow, sideways football. Getting caught out at the back. Lack of marking and organisation at the back. It's all there.

It's been masked by an exceptional crop of players, a couple of lucky wins. But we haven't beaten any decent or well orgnanized sides.

Congrats to their first team beating England's C team in a pre-season friendly, How'd they do at major international tournaments? Did we not lose to Accy Stanley in pre-season before winning the Championship title under Dyche?
Well, that was a strange way of telling me that I was right.

Maguire booed on now.

Wolves fans are acting like pillocks here. It’s a glorified friendly and the manager and team are being utterly destroyed. The bond between team and fans was a key part of our success at the last two tournaments. That’s getting totally eroded here.

WTF is wrong with you fella? Have you decided that best way for you to get thru to people is to insult them at every opportunity? It seems everyone who disagrees with you is “stupid” or an “idiot”. Discuss the game, discuss the team selection and discuss the tactics, but try to do it without being constantly abusive. It’s bloody tiresome.

FFS grow up.

What will Southgate say after the game?

My guess is, "You've got to remember we haven't won a tournament since 1966 so it's no use pretending we're a world class side or imagining we can become one overnight. We've made lots of progress, I thought we started very brightly but lack a bit of forward momentum and they get three breakaways and then the games out of sight."

it's not Wolves fans, there are people from all over the Country there. I don't think they were booing Maguire but Southgate's decision to bring on a defender whilst being 0-3 down at home to the might of Hungary

This is what happens when you have attacking defenders who can't actually defend.

Have we a single player in the squad who is any good at defending?

In a word - No.
