I remember in the earlier days of Championship Manager when you could use an editor to up the ratings so that everybody was into the 99s on their skills. It quickly became boring and it wasn't long before I started a new game to win 'the right way'. Having a bottomless pit of money reminds me of that.

Don’t think there’s much chance of that. I find it really odd Popey is going to a club to “challenge for #1” though - if I were him, I’d go somewhere I was unequivocally #1.

Remember an FA Cup game at home to Shrewsbury when he just picked up a back pass , think it was the first season the rule was introduced , the ref wasn't going to award a free kick until the prolonged protests from the away fans.

I’d heard the same, would be amazed and can only imagine they’d have a buy back deal or huge sell on clause, I’d definitely still be happy with that though

This sort of view, and I agree with you, tends to be forgotten when it comes to the player being sold on at a later date.

Most likely - they sold Tosin to Fulham for a couple of mil when they last got promoted. He’s gone on to do very well for them but definitely wasn’t at City’s level.

Said he was full of individual errors and he should’ve been dropped many times but there was a penalty clause in the contract if they did. One says he’s hoping we have the same clause so he has to play a full season for us

I also read an article saying his loan spell at Anderlecht was “unsuccessful” without elaborating as to why.

Just on what I’m reading, it doesn’t sound the promising addition everyone is saying.

We had four shots on target that game and scored 3. One after 20 mins against the run of play.

I remember Nick Pope being in goal for Charlton in the first half with the Burnley fans being behind him in the away end. Sam Vokes scored in the 20th minute with two further Burnley goals scored by George Boyd and Andre Gray early in the second half. Maybe Nick Pope was cutting out crosses and stopping Burnley getting shots on target.

Bruce joined them in February, after the window, and was lumbered with Robinson and Grant, two very average players for me, until he got Carroll in. This season with his own additions it’ll be a different story.

Window had closed when Bruce took over so he wasn’t able to make any signings

Nah sorry that’s rubbish. The account that made it up in the first place is Brad Jones Journo, which is a complete fraud account. Nixon might not be right all the time but he’s a damn sight better than using a fake twitter account, let’s be real.

Heard that from someone else on a podcast can’t remember who, was about to sign for one team when another came in for him and too the anger of the team who had conducted his medical all the information from a medical belongs to the player not the club, so the team who nipped in at the last minute had all the information they needed without having to do their own medical. Naughty but it can happen.
