Hope Pope has a Fabulous Time at Newcastle and wish him all the best
I hope Newcastle get relegated.
Nothing against Nick Pope, just the dirty money in football.

Read a few online stories coming out of City and the way its being worded looks like the Harwood-Bellis deal is a permanent one not a loan and it could be completed by Friday
That would be a real statement. England U21 captain. I would be absolutely delighted and I've never seen him play.

There must come a time when there's no point in the Premier League existing.
I remember in the earlier days of Championship Manager when you could use an editor to up the ratings so that everybody was into the 99s on their skills. It quickly became boring and it wasn't long before I started a new game to win 'the right way'. Having a bottomless pit of money reminds me of that.

Don’t think there’s much chance of that. I find it really odd Popey is going to a club to “challenge for #1” though - if I were him, I’d go somewhere I was unequivocally #1.

I raise you Marlon Beresford, I dont think a keeper in world football hated it more when you weren't allowed to back pass it anymore
Remember an FA Cup game at home to Shrewsbury when he just picked up a back pass , think it was the first season the rule was introduced , the ref wasn't going to award a free kick until the prolonged protests from the away fans.
Sorry, no transfer rumours.

I'm just about finished with PL and the money involved.

I’d heard the same, would be amazed and can only imagine they’d have a buy back deal or huge sell on clause, I’d definitely still be happy with that though

This sort of view, and I agree with you, tends to be forgotten when it comes to the player being sold on at a later date.
I don’t know anything about this lad or how good he is. Could it be that City are willing to let him go because they don’t think he will make it at their level?

Most likely - they sold Tosin to Fulham for a couple of mil when they last got promoted. He’s gone on to do very well for them but definitely wasn’t at City’s level.

Probably and can't remember who said it but apparently the 3rd team would give us no chance of signing him. Can't see that being the case if it is Sheff U.

Not half.
You'd think he'd behead and shoulders above Dubravka.
A cut above, you might say.

Me either, but I’ve just had a read of the oatcake and the Stoke fans are scathing about him. Said he was full of individual errors and he should’ve been dropped many times but there was a penalty clause in the contract if they did. One says he’s hoping we have the same clause so he has to play a full season for us
I also read an article saying his loan spell at Anderlecht was “unsuccessful” without elaborating as to why.
Just on what I’m reading, it doesn’t sound the promising addition everyone is saying.

On the other hand a Rovers supporting mate of mine said he’s a very very good player. And he’s just been captaining the England under 21s. I have a Stoke supporting mate who told me how good Collins was when we signed him, I’ll get his opinion.

Our offer is reported as being higher than Hulls so not sure how that equates to being ‘really far behind’

Are you sure you are not thinking about Heaton’s performance that day for us?
We had four shots on target that game and scored 3. One after 20 mins against the run of play.
I remember Nick Pope being in goal for Charlton in the first half with the Burnley fans being behind him in the away end. Sam Vokes scored in the 20th minute with two further Burnley goals scored by George Boyd and Andre Gray early in the second half. Maybe Nick Pope was cutting out crosses and stopping Burnley getting shots on target.

You need to think about the company you keep
But yes, that would be good mate.
This makes for grim reading, I’m afraid, only read pgs 25-27 but one lad calls him a “horrific” player

That's as may be but I'm not refering to it coming from 'club source' at Burnley's end .
Can't find the report on our bid being bigger than Hull's anywhere still but would love to see it if you've got it handy .

Bruce joined them in February, after the window, and was lumbered with Robinson and Grant, two very average players for me, until he got Carroll in. This season with his own additions it’ll be a different story.
Window had closed when Bruce took over so he wasn’t able to make any signings

Wasn’t there a push/trip and a handball? Though given how absolutely unnecessary the handball was that could count for two!

Nixon was late to the party with second hand info grabbed off social media , the info he regurgitated was from a few days before where it was stated " Burnley are readying a bid "NOT made a bid ...........we are interested " apparently" BUT haven't made a bid just enquired .

Nothing against Nick Pope, just the dirty money in football.
Is House of Saud money any more dirty than US money? (or lack of it - some US football club owners have to borrow). Don't see any difference personally. A broader debate eh.
Dirt accusations should be thrown at those trying to eek money out of the game for personal gain. It happens sadly
If you want to question the Saudi record on gay rights, women's rights and other freedoms - then fill your boots imo. But why is the money dirty - at least its cash

It's obscene, I'm not just sick of the Saudis, i'm sick of the whole set up.
This influx of big investment into certain big city clubs ruins the concept of a "football league".

John Percy reported a 3m bid from Hull.
Alan Nixon reported a 4m bid from Burnley
Nixon was late to the party with second hand info grabbed off social media , the info he regurgitated was from a few days before where it was stated " Burnley are readying a bid "NOT made a bid ...........we are interested " apparently" BUT haven't made a bid just enquired .
Nah sorry that’s rubbish. The account that made it up in the first place is Brad Jones Journo, which is a complete fraud account. Nixon might not be right all the time but he’s a damn sight better than using a fake twitter account, let’s be real.

Heard that from someone else on a podcast can’t remember who, was about to sign for one team when another came in for him and too the anger of the team who had conducted his medical all the information from a medical belongs to the player not the club, so the team who nipped in at the last minute had all the information they needed without having to do their own medical. Naughty but it can happen.
Probs David Dunn when moving from Birmingham to Bolton and then doing his medical, John Williams (?) At Bastards allowed it to go ahead then nipped in once Bolton had paid for it and David Dunn went back there, uncomfy phone call to Big Sam but a yearater ended up being his boss anyway

I can see the benefit of having someone like Cahill in the squad. But deffo not the other 4 of the suggestions.
Trouble is, someone like Cahill has just left… as in Ben Mee
