Please come back one day Ben. You're an inspiration, a leader and a winner. In my nearly 30 years watching the Clarets you are right up there in group of legends. Forever Claret and will be missed enormously. Good luck at Brentford, you deserve it. UTC.

Best of luck Ben at your new club, 11 years is decent service in anyone's book.

So that's Collins (Wolves) Mee (Brentford) Pope(Newcastle) Tarks (Everton) all gone to PL clubs now, clearly this shows our defence wasn't the source of our relegation woes.
I would say the fact that the 3 lowest scorers in the league were all relegated shows where the problems lie.

Norwich were never going to survive with the number of goals they conceded though. And Leeds were only heading one way under Bielsa with their defending.

Their facilities seem a step down from ours judging by that.

Interesting to hear they've got the same "no D-head" policy Dyche had.

Good Luck to him. Disappointed he is not still with us and still not sure what happened for this to be the case.

However fully deserves to continue playing at the highest level to continue creating financial security and get the best deal for himself and his family, which seems to have been one of the considerations for turning down a couple of clubs who were only willing to offer a year contract with an option of another one.

Great ambassador for Burnley FC and a great club captain. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for how he does and hope that at some point he and the clubs path cross again in the future.

Ben - You'll always be a claret!

Good luck Ben, a real favourite.

Made me a little sad watching him pat the badge of another club.

All the best.

Hopefully you’ll come back when you retire in a new role.

One thing which stands out from watching the footage around Brentford signing Mee...

The difference in training grounds. That portakabin in a carpark's a bit different to Gawthorpe eh.

Good luck to him. Seems a good bloke and was obviously great for us.

Might not have been the best CH in football but his commitment, desire and passion for the team was certainly up there with the best.
I hope he makes an impact at Brentford and carries on to have a great career in coaching and/or management.
Very interesting to see also how committed he is to reducing his carbon footprint- typical of the man.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on in a different system. What a fantastic servant for us. I am a little old fashioned and like defenders to be primarily good defenders. Ben Mee was exactly that

Never been convinced about offsetting CO2 emissions by planting trees. It seems you emit the CO2 first then plant small trees that will, over their (what, thirty year) lifespan use up that CO2. In other words you will initially still increase CO2 levels now which will still affect the climate in the next few years.

Of course when the said trees have grown they will likely be used commercially. If timber that's OK but if used as fuel it's not.

Mee was a great servant but he is gone . We are bound to miss him but I guess with the questionable replacements we have to hope the wind is blowing our way.

Let's hope that he can stay fit. He usually can't last a season without a big injury and getting old won't help. Wish him the best of luck, no matter how you rate him as a player you can't dislike the guy.

Aye! so limited he's got another Prem gig after playing there for most of his career.

I only hope our newbies are half as good as Collins, Mee, Pope and Tarks, because that's a heck of a quartet for any club to lose, and they'll be virtually impossible to replace like for like.

Mees at his best when he’s deployed in a certain system the rigidness dyche instructed whether he can adapt & flourish to that same extent remains to be seen times not on his side, in terms of him leaving that’s by the by & he deserves to be wished good luck with his final top level chapter.
