For a free pint. He's unemployed and needs all the handouts he can get.

Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
Reminds of that David Brent bloke from the documentary about working in an office. He got sacked from his role as manager and then kept turning back up there like a bad smell.
If this continues then Mr Pace needs to have a quiet word with him

Sums the man up, honest with a touch of class.
Club legend, still sad to think he isn’t our manager but the time was right and we have to move on.
Thanks for everything Sean.

Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
Would have liked to be there to hear his answers to whatever was asked. Given the rumours at the time of his sacking of an NDA I can't imagine there was much if anything new but always good to hear from the person in question. Genuine club legend.
Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
I too would have loved to have been there. There are many questions I'd love to hear his views and experiences on.

Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
A great afternoon. He brought along the whole of his ex-management team. A pleasure to be there. A no holds barred q and a session.

Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
What a guy,not many would have done that if anybody...thanks for everything SD.
Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
He’s a class act! I’m still finding it weird not having him as manager. Was time for a change though.
Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
Bet that was a great afternoon for those who attended, if for nothing else just to say thanks as we never really got a chance to say thanks for his service and his achievements. I saw Sean and a couple of his staff in a Indian not long before he left, I’m not usually one for bothering sports people or famous people in their private lives if I see them out and about so I didn’t say anything, if I’d have known he would be leaving I’d have popped over and just said thanks for all he had done for us as a club. So the fact people got the chance to do that is great.

Brilliant pic , the guy’s an absolute bona fida Burnley legend . I’d imagine he’ll be back in the game once the pre Xmas sackings start .

Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
I’d buy him a pint any day of the week.
Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
I wonder if we will see him on the Turf again?
I suppose that depends on where he goes next.
Can't see him turning up in the CFS ala Shankly in the Kop.

About what? I'm fairly sure that BFC/Alan Pace have no involvement with the Royal Dyche, unless you are suggesting SD's severance agreement had a restriction on his visiting the town as well as the NDA?Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 6:48 pm...If this continues then Mr Pace needs to have a quiet word with him

Yeah, what’s the deal here? Was it an invite only thing? Why the cloak and dagger stuff about a pub chat.

Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
Maybe Sean wanted to pay the pub a visit but didn't want hoards of fans turning up. An invite only event gets around this, fulfils Dyche's promise to visit the pub and offers the pub a chance to reward it's loyal regulars. A win-win for all parties involved.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 9:40 pmYeah, what’s the deal here? Was it an invite only thing? Why the cloak and dagger stuff about a pub chat.
I'm jealous at not having been invited but as I'm not a regular at the Royal Dyche it's very understandable that I wasn't invited.
Those who are under 30 won't remember that hoards of fans descended on the Kettledrum within minutes of Gazza being spotted there and it quickly got out of hand.

Re: Dyche in The Dyche…
This makes me feel so happy/sad. The guy is frickin amazing. When we had him down for a number of Q & A's, over the years, at the Earby Clarets he was always so approachable and honest. How many PL managers would do that?
I know he won't see this but I'm gutted I never got to say "thank you" so the biggestestestest of thank yous Sean. Absolute legend and I will never forget our European tour and everything you gave to our club.
I'll back Kompany and the new set up from minute one on Friday but it'll be years when it really sinks in what Sean delivered for us.
But just one last time "Sean Dyches's Claret & Blue Army!"
