Can't say I know too much about him, can't say I know anything about him if I'm being honest.

He’s Brazilian so I’m obviously delighted.

Hi CT, so long as Vincent Kompany knows him, that's all that matters.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 10:59 amCan't say I know too much about him, can't say I know anything about him if I'm being honest.
Can I suggest a small edit to your article. Vitinho joins from Cercle Brugge, not Club Brugge. Brugge is a wonder little city for a w/end break. Who knew they had to clubs? I didn't.

I'd never heard of Cercle Brugge never mind Vitinho, and their ground is bigger than ours.
Really looking forward to seeing him play.

Welcome to the club Vitnho.
Im genuinely intrigued to see how it all comes together over the coming weeks and months. Will we see more squad rotation with some of these players.
We can't dismiss the level of change and that in essence the experience we have lost and are expecting to lose can be quite uncomforting at times but it's a new way we are looking to play and whether the opportunity to do this rebuild will be one we look back on in time with positivity or not.

I'm so confused by this one. While I've not had as much time to keep up with news in recent days, I don't think I've seen his name linked anywhere. Seems like this one was kept pretty quiet?

Re: ARTICLE: Vitinho signs in at Burnley
For CT's information
: 23 year ole, can play either side as he has both a good left and right peg
Cercle (Monaco) paid 2 M € for him to Cruzeiro
Quick and nimble player, obviously technically gifted as a Brazilian, forward thinking player but sometimes lacks end product (as does Roberts by the way).
Not a bad signing at all I'd say

Welcome to Burnley FC.
Re: ARTICLE: Vitinho signs in at Burnley
How much Championship experience do our new signings have? Hoping it pays off.
Totally different to the last time we were relegated, when we still had alot of players that helped us finished 2nd the season before..
added in with the likes of Andre Gray and Joey Barton, no wonder we won the League at the first time of asking.
This time I hope we can make the top 6, but more realistically I expect midtable this season, then top half the following season while VK builds his project.
I guess like what we saw under Eddie Howe before he left. Nice football, could see what he was trying to build.. lots of younger inexperienced/ lower league signings.
So you knew it was longer teem before we would be challenging for promotion, but you could see the project.
Same again under VK, long term not short term. Which VK as said more than once in his interviews.. about the longer term and needing time.

He will be when he plays - don't think we ever had a Brazilian in the long line of trialists that Adrian Heath played in reserve gamesLongsidelenny1882 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 11:39 amFor anybody who can give me a answer is this a first Brazilian player to turn out for the clarets utc

The only downside of this signing is I can see the CFS trying to fit his name into the “He’s Brazilian” song that Leeds & Everton sang for Raphinia and Richarlison

From the official interview...
Vitinho on his playing style:
“I’m very fast with Brazilian technique. I think I have learned a lot [in terms of] defence [during my time in Belgium] because in Brazil, I can attack all the time.
“Here it’s not like that. I am prepared now, and I am ready. I’m just glad to be here.”

So in Maatsen and Vitinho we now have 2 players who can play both full back and wide midfield. Also Vitinho can play either flank. Gives us more options if for example JBG is injured and a few others. Also could help in periods where we have a lot of games in a short period of time

Re: ARTICLE: Vitinho signs in at Burnley
Any idea why he couldn't get in the Cercle side consistently in his preferred position? I've watched Cercle and have no idea about him? Hotic very much the standout, along with the GK Didillon who has left. I know they've just replaced Matondo with a promising Japenese youngster Ueda.Belgianclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 11:28 amFor CT's information: 23 year ole, can play either side as he has both a good left and right peg
