Let's hope Muric doesn't have any crazy keeper moments playing so high up the pitch 😁😜
I reckon there’ll be one or two but if you want to play that way you take the rough with the smooth.

Surprised how little abuse there was for Rhodes when he came on but I have to admit to some nerves that he would do his B*****d trick of scoring against us. Don't think he even got a touch!

That was simply sublime, proper football that. high press, energetic, quality, composed, flying forward, fluid. Brilliant stuff, now add a striker and O'Hare and we're a scary scary side at this level.

Incredible performance for a team with 6 debutants. 72% possession. It will be interesting to see how good we can be when everyone settles in.

Yes imagine being O’Hare watching this, licking his lips for that space in between the lines
Reckon O’Hare will be delivering a transfer request tomorrow 😂

Maybe home to Forest, or away at Brentford but, yes, it was excellent.

I'm absolutely blown away by that performance, what an absolute joy to watch. Sorry, had a few. Magical football that first half. I got goosebumps.

Really can’t understand the point in such abuse.
I’ve supported BFC for over 50 years now. And for me, it’s a positive experience ( we’ll, most of the time…). Why waste energy on negative thoughts and behaviour toward someone who USED to play for our “deadly rivals”? Support your own team.

A quick striker would be dynamite in that system. Harsh to say it because Barnes was superb tonight.

That’s a great point. I reckon we can nick one or two who will be impressed with that. Let’s hope we can get a couple with the McNeil and Cornet cash. Looks like Vincent had a good eye for a player and is clearly a big draw.

Superb. I watched that game and felt for Huddersfield. They were like us in previous years when teams of pure footballing quality have played us off the park. God we were good tonight. Just need a tasty hungry striker now.

Like my crowd said after. How good or are poor are Huddersfield. You can only play whats in front of you we played them off the park mostly and with Maxwel in we would possibly have had about four.

The possession stats etc is something that has astounded me. I'm going to have to get used to this!!! Never mind.

We’ll be there or thereabouts I think it’s a really poor division to be honest. We have something to look forward to this season in a lower league but at the opposite end with promotion aspirations still early days but promising signs due to the dross.

Desperately need a striker, Barnes was decent but the way we played a pacey striker would've had an absolute field day. 2016 Andre Gray scores 2 in the first half.

yep agree, although I thought Barnes made some really intelligent runs and did very well for us tonight. Not sure who we could get though

Wow. Absolutely gobsmacked, by that first half display in particular. Not in my wildest dreams did I think this team would click so quickly. Such confidence on the ball and energy. Gives me a lot more positivity going into the rest of the season.

As you might see from my nickname, i am e Belgian football-and Anderlechtfan who would like to follow Vincent Kompany a ltittle bit. As i was curious i watched the game and i was delighted to see that first half performance! How do you feel about it? Did you expect this after how preparation went?
Do you have any more players incoming or transfers who will be announced soon?
PS sorry if this is the wrong topic
PS2 sorry if my English isn't up to par, i am a native dutch speaker ;)
Hi and welcome to the board. Its fine to ask questions and your English is fine!

I’d say the vast majority would say that was pretty amazing and certainly exceeded expectations.
There’s talk of more signings. VK seemed pretty confident more would be coming.

Very happy fans here last night and this morning!

Your English is better than my Dutch.

Don’t think anyone was sure what to expect before the game and the results in pre-season didn’t really give us the impression that we would have seen the performance we saw last night.

More players will need to come in so yes we expect to see some further announcements. May see some leave too.

How did you find the game last night compared to what you saw when he was at Anderlecht?
