In the following link it shows him going past players by shifting the ball quickly from his left to his right foot.

It also shows him smashing two goals in with his right foot which I don't recall McNeill ever doing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2lzAqQ06dY
Let me get this right - this guy is signing for us??
I am getting more excited by the day!
Went right off the PL ages ago. I watch football to be entertained and that was not happening.
I don't care what League we are in - this looks like it could be a fun ride!

Just read Leicester value Maddison at 60 million
Good for them to try to make the Saudis cough up.

From the Athletic

‘Benson is understood to have had interest from clubs in France but a move to England appealed and Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is understood to be a big draw.’
Don't believe that rubbish, the French teams never made an offer, Kompany will be a big draw but if you believe he turned down Champions League football with Marseille to play for Burnley, then I dont know what to tell you.

Will Norris turned down a move to Cambridge Utd. Believe it was loan with option to buy.

Got the feeling with WW, we couldn't wait to get him out of the building. at least with Max he seems to be popular with the squad

Yup, but he was utter toss during his time here and no one was going to pay a transfer fee for him.

Cornet was our highest goal scorer last season, has scored in the CL too.
There's a reason why clubs want to buy Cornet but not WW...

A maverick gamble of epic proportions really expecting a guy to come in who’d never played a game in the English league’s never mind the top tier to step in & get the goals required to prevent relegation.

Strange if true as Norris unlikely to feature at Burnley anytime soon, so why not go out and get some regular game time as Jensen has done going to Accy.

And he's one we could do with getting off the books.

Doubt he's on anything major wage wise, and it's always good to have 3 GKS for the squad. I may be wrong but u couldn't see him again Huddersfield, looked like a youth keeper was there instead

True I can’t argue with any of that, it’s similarly as noticeable that so many banked on him being a success & were convinced that he would be with CW disappointing season the bar wasn’t set high, but in the same sort of way that whoever VK so much as looks at never minds signs that said player also will be held with the same amount of confident belief before any reasonable time period is established.

Certainly better than the Heath Robinson front line we had in the mid 90s.

If we continue this we need to sign Bert Capstan. He has the strength we will need.

Then perhaps for back up goalkeeper there's Egyptian Mustafa Camel.

Perhaps our forwards will get a Lucky Strike.

I saw this ... the player apparently prefers a " Premier League " option !

At the start of 2021-22, Sporting sent Cabral on loan to Lazio, for a loan fee of 1m Euros, with an option to buy at the season end ( 8m Euros ). He was obviously well regarded, as he was given the squad number 11 shirt. He ended up playing only 3 League games, grabbing one goal. He was returned to Sporting without the option being taken up. He's turned down a move to Besiktas already this summer.

It looks to me like Sporting are trying to " manage " him out of their Club, which begs the question, why ? Character, or is he quite as talented as he believes himself to be ?

0-1 at HT. They need Prestwick(Scottish Airfield) on sooner rather than later.
RB for Union is a Burnley born lad, Ross Sykes, who played over 100 games for Stanley.

Doesn't make much sense given the level of interest, unless they're paying all up front maybe?

Wouldn't make sense at all we'd make nothing from the deal after paying his old club a percentage of the small profit

The journalist that’s wrote that tweeted “close to agreeing deal” whereas the article says “leading the race.” He’s also mentioned the other 4 teams that are linked with him covering bases, nothing that we haven’t already heard. No one’s close until they pay the fee😴

If we're looking at accepting upfront cash of less than the clause, as opposed to going with an offer that pays considerably more over a period of 2 or 3 years, then we must be up a financial version of sh1t creek.

If indeed.

And other than the fact that post Benson we will have spent more money than Bournemouth, Brighton, Everton and Leicester this window.

Not really a sign of being up the creek. Leveraged, but not up the creek. Yet. I expect more signings.

Silly post and pretty irrelevant. Those clubs haven't offloaded nearly all the family silver in the last few months.

It’s getting to the point where you are left wondering who’s next it must be 1 hell of an interest rate on that loan to be going hammer & tongs relentlessly.
