It was nice to see him in high spirits recently with the BBC Radio Lancashire video with that voice aid, but today is very sad news. I hope the club do something for him tomorrow night

My lasting memory of Kenny was when he and Sean Gregan of PNE clashed at the Turf. It was like two juggernauts colliding in the middle of the park and Gregan came off far worse than Lenny did. RIP Ken

Deeply saddened by this news. I can remember my former boss and Lennie’s uncle Frank telling me he was heading to Turf, seems a lifetime ago now. He had a hard start and and terrible end but he touched so many with his attitude and class.

In think we all knew it was imminent but it makes it no less sad - he's made me laugh and cry these last few years and he's been such an inspiration. my thoughts are with Lenny's family and friends.
