Graham Alexander - Times feature
I don't see this posted on mb. Graham Alexander interview in The Times on Friday.
Graham Alexander: Gary Neville and David Beckham celebrated with us, jumping around, spraying champagne and singing songs

The link will take you past the Times pay wall.

Good read - thanks for sharing. Interested to see where he rocks up next as he seems to have done a pretty good job at most of his clubs and perhaps been harshly moved on a couple of times.

Great article that, thanks for posting.
Always loved Grezza and it was a really interesting point about his playing career and management career….hope he’s back in the dugout soon and goes on to bigger and better things.

Re: Graham Alexander - Times feature
When we first signed Grezza I was a bit cautious and by the end of the first season thought we'd made a big mistake on him. Next season he moved to defensive midfield and left me thinking that if he'd played there his whole career he'd have had a decade in the Premier League.
I believe in the playoff season he played all but 27 minutes of the 63 games, only missing any due to a knock, must surely be the longest individual season ever by a player and at age 38 an incredible achievement. With his character and dedication I figured he'd go on to be a top top manager, he's not hit the heights I expected but he's still got time as managers go. One of my favourites.

Re: Graham Alexander - Times feature
I hated/admired Alexander when he played against us, always a thorn in our side. When we signed him, I thought he was past it. As the old saying goes right place right time, he was exactly what we needed that year.

Good read, thanks for the link. Didn't realise Lucketti was his assistant; would they have played together? Another very good lower league professional.
Will be interesting to see where ends up next. Always seems to have done a decent job

My thoughts exactly. Parallels with David Eyres who in retrospect we should have hung onto

Honestly would have loved him here, but obviously VK has a relationship with Bellamy. Must have been hell for him wondering about his daughters…….
It’s certainly a career to follow. Remarkable what he did up in Scotland. and we all know Neville is clueless

I credit GA with getting us up off the bottom after Owen decimated the club. Top top pro
It was an interview he did with radio lancs after all the staff jumped ship with Owen and he was left as the most senior figure. He said to stop worrying about coyle as he wasn’t worrying about us. Drew a line under things and we were up of the bottom, a great rallying cry

Great read
Re: Graham Alexander - Times feature
Thought he was fantastic for us - we could have done with him playing at the back today!
I had the privilege of shaking his hand and thanking him, when he co commentated at Turf once.
The article says it all. Bit like his ice baths!
