Even better idea, make it home fans only, rather than move 2400 home fans out, move say the 600-700 ticket holder of the JML and put the visitors in there. Just an alternative solution.
that would be the ideal scenario

How do you propose getting away fans into JML and keeping all the kids in the JMU away from violence and worse language than they now hear. Not practical.

Humour me... which one of the alleged hooligans I identified using a screenshot from a video that IMO clearly shows them being alleged hooligans (as per the definition above https://www.uptheclarets.com/messageboa ... 7#p1893667) is communicating with a steward about being spat at by a Blackpool fan?

Dont worry I'll answer it as I was actually there (yes, a real eye witness as the police would say) just out of shot trying to watch the match - none of them were spat at by Blackpool fans.
A good barrister and all that. I note you have put alleged. Don't get me wrong I cringe when I read things about our fans and hoped it was confined to the dustbin but it would appear not.

So you want the away fans to use the turnstiles in between those used by those entering the “Family Stand”?

Just seen jim makes same point

I wonder if you'll be on here moaning when the club make the decision they've had enough and make the Cricket Field away fans only ?
It wouldn’t bother me in the slightest as I don’t frequent the CFS.

Thanks for your concern, though.

Well I’m guessing from your post that you thought that was the stand I went in, otherwise why mention that I’d be bothered if they closed the CFS for home fans?

There’s three options:

1) Increase the segregation between home and away fans (surely the most sensible and most likely)

2) Make the stand away fans only and find a new place for home season ticket holders (highly unlikely)

3) Make the stand home fans only and find a new place for away fans (possible, but again not really likely)

No, I had no idea what stand you went in - the reply was to your comment "Coin tossing is disgraceful. Violence is disgraceful. Racism is disgraceful. What I saw on that (albeit short) video was both sets of fans goading one another.

Ashley Barnes has done worse things than that to opposition fans."

That view is a complete failure to see one potential long term scenario playing out and nobody wants to see the CF as an all away stand - for you to dismiss the behavior as goading (based on one video) when it's been said pretty categorically (all over socials) that coins and seats where chucked is bizarre.
In the end their behavior will only hurt the home support and the team

what you need to remember is that this sort of behaviour puts a real onus on Burnley to take such matters extremely seriously, as in the end if this keeps occurring it will be the club, not the hooligans, facing a hit to their reputation and their finances too.

But that video was goading.

I’m not disputing that anything more sinister didn’t happen, but the club won’t be banning fans or shutting stands on that video alone - it’s a five second video of a few dickheads beating their chests.

I absolutely do hope (even though it paints our club in a bad light) that there is further video evidence of the perpetrators throwing coins and bottles of **** and that they are dealt with accordingly.

Give us the full CFS give away fans half of the JHL closest to the CFS. Burnley fans then enter the CFS from where the away supporters do now on Harry Potts Way.

Away supporters make there way from down the side of the Cricket Club. Could have Burnley on one side and away fans on another. Make an entrance on the cricket field side to get into the JHL.

I would have thought a Shelby would be avoiding a thread about the Police 😉
