Taylor out of position is not great . He’s a quality wing back and an excellent defender ( especially cutting out crosses ) and doesn’t seem to be able to play to any of this strengths at CB. With Maatsen being one of the 3 quality loans he also needs to play . Like to see him overlap with Taylor but impossible atm

For those of us with no financial stake I think we have to look at relegation as a chance to be entertained in a different way
Can't believe I'm reading this. The big criticism people had about Dyche and the PL was that every year was a high chance/battle against relegation forcing pragmatic football. Now potential relegation from the Championship is to be considered a chance to be entertained?

For what it's worth I don't think we've a chance of relegation. I think we will finish firmly mid table which should still be considered a little disappointing, rebuild or not, for a club that spent 6 years in a row in the Premier League and was in Europe 4 years ago. I'm not expecting automatics either but the minute we start settling for lower table places as long as it's some vague subjective notion of entertaining, our chances of actually bouncing back drop. It's why I like Pace's lofty talk of Europe in a few years. To finish high you have to aim high.

You seemed to have not quoted the second half of Crosspool's paragraph.
My reading of the post is that Crosspool is talking about the relegation from the PL not about being relegated from the Championship.

From the context of the thread, the post otherwise concerning the championship and some other more alarmist rhetoric regarding us allegedly being a relegation battle I understood it to mean the ups and downs of this league, apologies if I was wrong. But to be honest I'm still not really seeing the supposed upside to PL relegation so far, feels more like looking for silver linings. Oh well UTC.

New manager, coaching staff, philosophy, 12 experienced players out and 12 players with limited experience in (experience mostly in foreign leagues) - it's not possible for a team to produce consistent, coherent 90 min performances under those circumstances, we shouldn't be expecting it at this point.

Despite that we could quite easily be on 10+ points, we've not been turned over and we look like we'll be able to score goals. It's a young team with adapting to do, but they'll learn and improve every week, and the coherence and consistency will come.

From where we are now, and with a couple of important incomings, I think we'll be superb after the WC break and get automatic promotion.
