Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
The squad that actually got them promoted must be over the moon with all the players they are signing

Suspect Forest will have enough to stay up but they could have second season blues
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
None of them will be registered in the final 25 at this rate

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
If it goes horribly wrong and they get relegated it will be one horrendous car crash and it will serve them right. Its all money talking, no strategy or vision just a case of if it moves try and buy it. Its a recipe for complete disaster and Cooper's career as a manger will be totally trashed. It went well in their latest game didn't it ?
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Third bid rejected for Obafemi
9m inc add ons
Looks like that’s that

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
They were playing Man City away from home lol, the toughest league fixture in world football. Why will it go horribly wrong if they're relegated? Whats the difference between the club spending £140m on transfers or £170m on American owners?LaLigaClaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 7:25 pmIf it goes horribly wrong and they get relegated it will be one horrendous car crash and it will serve them right. Sincerely hope we get in another out and out centre forward for if/when Rodriguez gets injured alone.

So sounds like the valuation of £9 Million is acceptable just the structuring of the deal Swansea don't like.

Unless your Bournemouth that is !!
Seriously, what will go horribly wrong if their relegated ? About 40 players will be expecting top wages or wanting out and sold at a loss. The fans will go ape. Income will crash spectacularly and they will be a figure of fun. Don't bring the same old c**p about our club finances into it, its completely different and you know it or rather you clearly don't and never will.

Instead of money in a bucket they could do a Go Fund Me page for the money Swansea want

if we are offering 9 million for Obafemi we might as well go all in at 15 for Diaz and take the ****

When Obafemi was at Southampton my saints fan mates saw him having better potential than Tella so if they are right we need to go back in for him!

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Usually it’s 12pm the day before a match day but the EFL guidelines say about exceptions if a club is penalised by the rule compared to the rest of the teams on the same match day weekend. Therefore we might get exceptions given our game is a day before but the rules aren’t the most clear.claretburns wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 7:35 pmIf we do get anyone else in tonight would they be eligible for tomorrow or has the registration period passed?

Transfer of the day.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Is he really a nine million pound player after one (?) half decent season?
If we’ve that sort of brass to be laying out, it makes some of the other ones we appeared to walk away from, seem a little strange.
I want a striker but I think I want a little more certainty of what we are getting for that sort of cash. In fact, I think I’d prefer a decent loan.
Saying all that, I’ve not even seen the lad play so perhaps he could prove to be worth every penny.

Got to be a £20m rated player in the Belgian league available for that amount. English player tax being the differenceDCWat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 7:50 pmIs he really a nine million pound player after one (?) half decent season?

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Lot on social media going with the ‘just pay Swansea the money’ approach. Screams Will Grigg to Sunderland the other year. There will be a walk away point with the Obafemi deal and it wouldn’t surprise me if that 3rd bid was it.
Excellent window all round even without him added.

How do you know they dont have relegation wage cuts in the contract?LaLigaClaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 7:34 pmUnless your Bournemouth that is !!

Who says they will be sold at a loss? did we just sell Collins, Pope, Cornet at a loss?
We chose to spend £50m from the clubs bank account towards the takeover plus a loan of £65m. That's -£105m of the clubs cash gone, that's without getting into interest and further amounts owed. Funny seeing our fans act all snotty pretending we're some sensible financially stable club, we're the biggest jokes of the lot, we had our pants pulled down financially.

Leeds being linked with a late move for Piroe from Swans

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I'm guessing that the way we are structuring it will fit in very neatly with our income coming in from all the sales we have made so far
There won't be much give in that I'd have thought

Rumours Forest may allow Sam Surridge to leave. Only on loan though I think. Would be a good fit for us.

Does the transfer window close at 11.00pm tonight?
And does that apply to loan signings as well?

That's a strange one, spent the last two season on the bench the majority of the time and prior to that was injured half the time.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 8:09 pmWest Brom have signed Martin Kelly, ex Palace. 32 Years old. I really rate Brereton. Can’t see Bastards finishing above us, but I think he’s the sort of striker who would cause us a lot of problems when we play them. Was hoping he would move on this window.
