Bought the 9 in 1, 7.5 litre Ninja and just arrived, all on the recommendations on this thread!

Only concern I have is will it be big enough for a family of 6 (4 children). Too late now I guess!

Depends on what you're cooking, I guess. There should be a 2 layer basket included and you could probably get 8-12 steaks in for air fry.

Then for the other half of plate, you can cut salad, spinach etc

Not sure you will get all the kids in it at once

Did a chicken dinner yesterday and did the roast potatoes in the fryer… Boiling water for five minutes, dry, light coating of oil, and 25 minutes in the air fryer. Extremely crispy on the outside… Fluffy and soft on the inside.

The picked is the same as our ninja and its actually very easy to master. We went as far as buying a Tefal 9in1 to work alongside it a few weeks ago just to reduce cooking time by cooking more items at the same time.The result?
A roast chicken dinner in less than an hour.Our oven is virtually redundant now and Xmas dinner will be made easier instead of my poor wife cooking all morning (with my help I should add).

MRS NRC picked one up at an estate sale. It sat in the kitchen for three weeks, and then yesterday I roasted potatoes and veggies in it for a family of five.... I'm hooked

Looks interesting that one Ian. Let us know when you get using it how it’s turning out. We intend to get one in due course but are enjoying reading what others say about them. There’s just the two of us to cook for but we like the idea of compartments.

ohhhh I'd just love an airfryer for Christmas, fortunately he know better, I think, well hope, as there have been a few presents that didn't go down that well in the past lol.

For what it's worth, bought one last year, used it a lot for a couple of months, now it's in the pantry along side a few other things that get rarely used, maybe I'll just get it out again and give it a whirl now

Just had a very impersonal email from Amazon. 'Problem with order xxxxxxx(lots of numbers) so we have cancelled it. No charge'.

Nothing on my Amazon account at all. Checked back through emails for order confirmation and it was the Airfryer!

We called into Currys at Burnley last week (Thursday) they had a large number of the 7L Ninja airfryers ready to go but the 9L you had to order, with awaiting time of 2-4 weeks, picked the 9L up after the game on Sunday.

Update!

I ended up with a Tower Air fryer for about £100.
I purchased it after I was assured that I could cook my sausages in one!

I can now confirm that with my limited diet and need to cook, the AirFryer does indeed do sausages!

I followed the instructions the first time and turned them every 5 minutes. 2nd time, I went upstairs to do something and forgot all about them! All round browning. No difference, so nor more interventions.

Yesterday I googled frozen potatoes and cooked a kilo in 20 minutes. All good. Eventually, I should be able to eliminate my gas contract, of which the standing charge is the vast majority.

So thanks to all who input and recommended.

Ian. That sounds interesting. Do keep us posted. We’re still no nearer buying one, not sure which to buy so we’ll see how you go with your new addition first and of course read any other info from the posters on this site. Hope it turns out to be everything you want it to be.

So thought I'd endorse this Air Fryer I pointed out back then...
Great kit.
Massive plus being two seperate areas you can set differently - and sync both to end at the same time.

Only one tip to offer with this model...
When using both drawers allow a minute or two to the time on the one side eg chicken -but when you consider "resting time" and "dishing / plateing up time" it really is no issue at all - just a consideration.

a flavour tip - mix a light oil (i use light olive or veg oil) with smoked salt and mix a small pot of it - very lightly brush (whatever you fancy) with it. - cook,

I don't think you will learn much from me, Beddie! I am not Ramsey or Berry!

Think to note. Some have little pull out chip tray type things, to shake your chips. My Tower model just has one pull down cover like an oven door but obviously mini.

Then there are 3 silver mesh inserts, like oven rack equivalent. When I did the chips, one spread of chips was enough for me. The kilo of frozen spuds took to shelves. All went well.

We got a Ninja Foodi 15-1 before Christmas.
Worth pointing out to the uninitiated the Foodi is not just an air-fryer. It's a pressure-cooker/steam roaster/grill PLUS the air-fryer.
I love it, it's an amazing device, and so versatile.
As well as more 'sophisticated' stuff (a whole roast chicken and garlic/fennel potatoes from the recipe book is amazing) you can use it to knock together leftovers.
Last night, I chucked in my sliced lamb from Sunday plus some boiled new potatoes, and a few chunky onions. Within 7-8 minutes, I had a fantastic meal...
The 15-1 has the integrated temp probe, so cooking a joint is a piece of cake. Set the meat and how you want it cooked, and it just takes care of the timings, you don't even need to think about it.

Latest escapade. I put a 1.4kg gammon joint in. I did an hour (extent of the timer?) and then another 10. Seems ok. Had foil on until last 10 mins.

Wow so much better food in the Ninja, the sausages are the best.

Had the ninja dual air fryer for about 3 years now - used daily. Mrs also got one of the ninja grills too which is bloody great at cooking a joint of meat with a probe - you set the finish you want and it just does it perfectly

If you get the 15 in 1 version of the ninja, yes, you can cook pretty much anything in it. We had fish pie out of it last night. Done loads of pressure and slow cooking in it too. Brilliant piece of kit
