Singing doo wah diddy, diddy dum diddy Doo.
Running past the bastards scoring one or two.
He looks good, looks good, looks fine, looks fine.
Jay Rodriguez on my mind, and he’s Burnley’s number nine.

Re: Our song selection
A variety of new songs has generated a better atmosphere all round I'd say.
Just a shame that the one's alluding to a dead person gets at least one rendition a game now we are in the same league as our rivals.....

Re: Our song selection
Please drop the "JW is Dead" song and stick to the new ones ... loved it when Vitinho acknowledged his song with a thumbs up to the CFS.
Struggled hearing the words as they are sung a bit fast, but a great atmosphere tonight ... Well done CFS

You can't blame the CF for singing fast with that one. It's a very fast one in real life

I’m actually with you on that one.
Regarding the Jack Walker song, I’m surprised at how many still sing that, I cringe.
The way it’s justified on here as not actually meaning he’s dead but that his reigns over in a as ridiculous as I’ve heard

Re: Our song selection
Been really apparant the number of different players having their name sung. It's brilliant to hear.
Still could do with songs for some for the other players.
Jack Cork has been imperious but not getting sung. (The Hokey Cokey). What does Taylor Harwood Bellis fit into? Beyer needs one. Cullen. Brownhill. Maatsen's chant of 'Ian Ian Ian' could potentially improve

Some absolutely brilliant ones now, just a shame they’re sung as if it’s a race to finish the song the quickest.
The JW ones need to go though, horrible.

Re: Our song selection
Another positive of playing an attacking brand of football with wing play etc is that the fans feed off it which in turn the players do etc - really helps generate an atmosphere.
When the team are playing terribly and just playing speculative hoofs that are coming straight back to us it’s kinda hard for the crowd to get in to it.
Best that the atmosphere at the Turf has been for a few years

Re: Our song selection
Not only that, it’s factually incorrect if it’s the one I’m thinking about. Something about a heart attack when that was just a re-hash of the Bill Fox chant from the 1980’s(?). JW passed of cancer.
I know it’s tit-for-tat and all about winding each other up, but we have enough songs without those.

Re: Our song selection
I thought the CFS supporters were brilliant last night. Then just when the atmosphere simmered down a little bit in the second half, the referee managed to rile the whole ground up (and the players) with some terrible decisions.

Re: Our song selection
Just watched the highlights. Superb noise last night. You get the feeling the fans are really up for games this season. I mean there's a feeling of excitement and expectation. Lower level doesn't necessarily mean less quality. The cross from Tella, the control from Zaroury and then his shot were all top drawer.
Re: Our song selection
I heard this at Birmingham for the first time and it's really catchy.
I'm in love,
I can't deny
I'm in love with the Burnley number five.
He is the best,
I've ever seen
His first name is Taylor and he came from Man City.

Re: Our song selection
The Anas Zaroury song was strong today. Good to hear Benson getting a bit too. Credit to those making it happen. I don't remember ever having so many player specific chants. Even Goody got a blast for his striptease. Good times.

For one, “running past the Blackburn” makes no sense, and second, does Jay not score against anybody else?

I think Benson would fit well into Matthew & Son by Cat Stevens.
Manuel Benson, his work's never done, he’s always beating you.
He flies down the wing, you’ll hear the Turf sing, he’s always running through.
Manuel Benson, Benson, Benson!
