The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
Hope the club deal with him firmly before the Football League do. Could be a hefty fine coming our way. Warning for the local derby.

Missed that. From which part of the ground?

Seemed to be from JM Lower.

Don’t be posting anything negative about yesterdays game on here. You’ll get lynched.

Yes corner of JM lower by the Bob Lord corner flag. Got to within 5 yards of a Reading player. Had the gait of someone who might have had a drink or three.

There were a few clowns on the pitch wearing hooped shirts. And one manager. The guy that wandered onto the pitchafter the final whistle didn't attack anyone, was I guess overjoyed at the late winner and seemed to me to be, putting it kindly, inebriated.

No doubt he will get 3 years off football to sober up.

I was also celebrating Bosscat, but the guy entered the pitch about 10 to 15 yards from me. Probably should have closed my eyes.
Their has been much said about entering the field of play recently, including the consequences. Being drunk, or not attacking anyone doesn’t mean that it will be ignored by the authorities. Hope it doesn’t cost us that’s all.

Why would he be arsed? No idea.
Why would I be arsed? Because I don’t want our club to be in the news for negative headlines, under the new legislation.
Burnley1989, I wonder why you wouldn’t be arsed.

Putting stuff on the Internet about incidents will certainly increase the chances of us getting done for them.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 7:16 pmWhy would he be arsed? No idea.

He tried to shake hands with a Reading player before he was ushered away.

It was a really odd pitch invasion. You could tell a mile off he wasn’t a threat and was just drunk, but what a tool.

Certainly the slowest pitch entrance I’ve seen.

Looks like one of the Reading fans I met at the Queen Vic, they were in a hospitality box and they looked drunk before the game

That’s our defence then, would account for him approaching the Reading player.
Re: The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
I assumed the trouble was from the cokeheads in the CFS so thought the reference might be to rows J, M & L.
I didn't really - it was an attempt at irony.

I think it was just a kid who looks old for his age going on the pitch to get one of his heroes tops. Happens a lot these days and im sure the kid yesterday had his dads permission to run on.
Hope he managed to get the players shirt he was most after

Re: The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
I came across that guy in the town centre whilst taking my grandchildren to McDonald's
before going to the game. He didn't appear to be drunk, just abusive to all and sundry
that he came across, with his female companion in tow.
He next appeared not long later under the culvert giving some aggravation and grief to
anybody that would listen. Am surprised he wasn't planted one there and then. On both
occasions his "female" companion was videoing him on her 'phone.
Then, like a bad penny he appeared again outside the 110 club and I assume he'd been refused
admission as he was kicking off. I sit 4 rows back in the Bob Lord stand at the Jimmy Mac end
and he was there again, in the front corner of the Jimmy Mac lower tier, about 4 or 5 rows back
shouting the odds and getting quite obnoxious at times with his "girl" by his side.
It was no surprise, therefore when he appeared on the pitch at full time. Clearly under the influence
of something or suffering from mental illness. His girlfriend filmed his grand entry onto the pitch.
Truly a bizarre day and experienc for my 2 grandchildren !!!!!!

Re: The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
Genuine question…were the clubs fined recently for those just stop oil tossers getting on the pitch and locking themselves to the goalposts? Or did they not because they weren’t fans??
Re: The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
I think his homing instincts had kicked in, and he was eager to join his flock at the other end of the ground.

Looks like he's trying to shake Geoff Hendrick's hand
Re: The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
I strongly suspect the behaviour of an away fan in corporate hospitality is still the responsibility of our Club. Sad that others continue to have their matchday experience adversely impacted by away fans in the home end. I had hoped that would stop when we left the PL but apparently not.

Don’t understand why a Reading fan would buy a ticket in the home end
It wasn’t as though they sold out their allocation

Re: The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
Ther is a good chance of mistaken identity, I saw a chap at the Queen Vic momentarily whilst he asked how far the ground was and how to find the Hospitality section in the north stand. If this chap came from anywhere else in the ground onto the pitch, it's a different person all together. I just alluded that it looked like the same chap from the fuzzy photo on the thread.

I didn't initially read Funkydrummer's post as necessarily being contradictory to Zlatan's but, on re-reading, I suspect you're right. Perhaps my unconscious bias towards seeing away fans in "home" corporate hospitality as an issue got the better of me.
See how hard I found it to say "I was (probably) wrong"

Edit: Zlatan just confirmed I was wrong!

Inebriation and elation are not always good partners. Stupid thing to do but benign. Thinking about the Forest nutcase that headbutted the Sheffield United player.
Re: The clown that wandered onto the pitch at the end of the game.
Has I said before in my comment he celebrated our first goal got over the wall the stewards got him back then celebrated our second goal definitely a Clarets fan
