As you can imagine, this is quite an amusing read at the moment .... 40 pages which started with some predicting a 1-4 away win for the " Pride of Lancashire ", and finishing with a post using the word " S**tgibbon ", a new one on me ....

"We've gone into the lions den armed with an army of pussycat. ******* abysmal showing this, the manager needs to front up and apologise for this. The one thing you expect is desire and effort and we get neither."
Quite an astute observation from one of them!

Can’t get over how bad they were. Worse than that, they didn’t really seem up for it. I’d be absolutely apoplectic if Burnley produced a performance like that in an East Lancs Derby.

Love how nearly all the comments are ‘this is all down to the pass around the back sh*t’ while getting trounced by a team who mainly pass around the back. As Arteta once said ‘you’ve got to believe in the process’

April 2001 you mean? The defeat under Laws was another where we hardly covered ourselves in glory.

Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency....
Our *three* weapons are fear, and surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope....
Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

Can’t believe how awful they were , only Hudds and Wigan have been worse IMO . They were clueless and didn’t even seem up for it . I’d be amazed if they’re anywhere even close to the top 2 by Feb

There is no way they will finish 3rd which is where they are now, based on the season so far. They have lost nearly half their games and a GD of only +2. Theres plenty of teams capable of turning them over in our division

I genuinely feared they'd eek out the 0-0 before we scored, because we weren't really at our fluent best and they had their defence properly sorted. I even worried they might have one attack (just one) and bloody steal a goal

. I genuinely didn't see 3-0 coming, despite our clear superiority.

Agree, they are mid-table at best. They will draw games at some point this season and even if they continue to win one, lose one, they won’t be anywhere near the play-offs.

I don't understand why they were playing out from the back at 2-0 down, when they clearly don't have the quality to do so.
Second half against Sheff U last weekend, Sheff were lumping it to midfield and winning loads of corners and throws. Thought they'd try to emulate that today but seems they preferred tippy tappy?

There one chance, came from a long ball to Diaz at the start of the second half which Muric saved, but then resorted to trying to play it about after that

There seemed to be an urgency, and no nonsense approach by our defenders today, and maybe a reflection of the work done by the coaches following the Sheff Utd defeat

I think it’s fair to say, Blackburn have been the easiest team we’ve beat at home this season. I think even Swansea were better.
As far as Lancashire Derbies go, this one was a let down from a competitive point of view. Blackburn lacked grit. I’d be fuming if I supported them today.
We might as well have played Padiham or Great Harwood.

Strange views up to our first goal, although we were the better side, I thought they won most of the 50/50s. It did break their soul a fair bit. It has all season so not unexpected.

When we click like the second half today, or second half v Sunderland we can make teams look very poor. Agree with you, Blackburn were pants in the second half following a fighting defensive first half (must have been some team talk by VK)

Certainly a few times they headed, or kicked it out instead of trying to play it out when pressed

Future looks grim for Rovers with there dwindling fan base and disinterested owners. I would hate the Turf to be as empty as Ewood every home game and to kick them right in the nuts Darwen Clarets unfolded their flag, that must have been bloody annoying for any *******, it would be liken them putting up a Nelson blues flag

I had a poke around some of their fan forums, very sad I know but couldn't resist. There is a lot of abuse for Barnes and a bit for the ref but many are complaining about our wealth compared to theirs - oh the irony!!

Was watching the away end after the final whistle, and hardly any of them clapped the team, off. There were a few venting themselves at the players though. Seriously, how are they 3rd? They look like a team flirting with relegation. Surely the wheels will come off soon.

Despite how well they’re doing in the league, they don’t seem to have taken to Tomasson. Had Radio Lancs on the other week, and they were laying into him over his team selections and his insistence on playing out from the back (the latter with some justification on today’s showing). Not sure what more they want though, he’s massively over achieving with those players.
