Larnaca Christmas for me. Any tips?

Going to sun myself in Larnaca this year, anyone got any tips? I've booked somewhere with a heated pool so looking forward to that Christmas morning

Don't drink Keo or Leo, worst beers I've ever had anywhere, foul stuff.

Apart from that I love Cyprus, enjoy. Get the bus, or hire a car, and go into Nicosia, take your passport and cross the Green Line into Northern side, both great.

Mount Olympus skiing...? not sure if there's any snow at the moment, but when I went 20 odd years ago in the summer it was 90 degrees Fahrenheit and obviously no snow

A friend who lived on Cyprus loved skiing in the Troodos Mnts in the winter ... not sure how much snow they get these days though ...

Won't bank on good weather in Cyprus at Xmas, now the Canaries is a different ball game. Last Xmas here in Lanzarote it was 28oC

Lots of bars and restaurants in the centre of Larnaca but there are some very nice beach bars / restaurants further out towards the airport (literally the perimeter fencing runs next to one of the bars). It’s called Mackenzie Beach and is about half an hours walk.

Walk as far as you can. Before then there are bars and restaurants but it’s the very furthest ones on the beach that are the best

Tbh, without being too morbid, there's not a huge amount to go home for these days, certainly at xmas, so i tend to just please myself.

The pools heated and i'm full board, so i reckon i'll pass the time nicely Picking up some cheap wireless earbuds so i can have an audio book on in the pool and not be too fussed if they get a splash or two
