Re: England v Senegal WC R16
Bellingham heavily involved in that goal as well, just get him on the ball.
2-0 flatters England in all honesty but England have been clinical with their chances whereas Senegal have wasted 2 great opportunities.

Fantastic link up play for that goal. I'm prepared to forgive the first 35 minutes

It’s hard to believe isn’t it
Re: England v Senegal WC R16
Don’t think I’ve ever seen an England midfielder as dominant in duels as Bellingham, but to combine it with that level of composure and awareness at 19 is an absolute joke.

Trying to defend for 99 minutes v France might be a challenge. Simply have to attack with pace and outscore them.

Apart from the fact that we are rubbish at "playing out from the back" we are capable of cutting Senegal to pieces.

Re: England v Senegal WC R16
play like we have done so far against France and we will get battered but they aren't great defensively so I agree we have to have a go at them. I'd rather lose 2-0 having a go than 1-0 not doing sobox_of_frogs wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 7:53 pmTrying to defend for 99 minutes v France might be a challenge. Re: England v Senegal WC R16
Difficult to compare as different positions. Right now I don’t think there’s a better midfielder at the tournament but I think there’s a few forwards on par or better than Mbappe.

Two players in particular are just fantastic.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 7:54 pmApart from the fact that we are rubbish at "playing out from the back" we are capable of cutting Senegal to pieces.

Absolutely
I think most people recognise our strengths are all about going forward. I fear Gareth will try to defend though.
He have the talent to outscore anyone
Re: England v Senegal WC R16
Credit to Pitchfork for keeping England in a position where they could break and attack. The 2 goals were very well taken.
Re: England v Senegal WC R16
Now just pass it around, tire them out, no cock ups.

Crazy to think some experts didn’t want Foden in this team.

Re: England v Senegal WC R16
Another super goal.
After my early comment about Foden it’s good to see how he has adapted. Getting into plenty of space to receive the ball and, apart from the last goal, moving it on before they make contact with him. Well played lad.

Re: England v Senegal WC R16
The fact that the Senegal strip is green, you can’t be truly sure that their are only 11 on the pitch

Re: England v Senegal WC R16
It was well worked but the Senegal defender was poor not going into tackle Saka with his right foot.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 8:17 pmAnother super goal.
