Beyer stepped out beautifully to take it off (Piroe?). Timely.

I'll be quite happy to see half-time arrive.....if it stays like this.

There will be a red in the 2nd half, space to open and a few on yellow cards now.

Good game to watch this, Swansea is the first team who are very effective in playing through our high press.
Some tactical changes needed IMO

As mentioned above, Barnes coming on for the last 30mins might unsettle them.

Not been the best half we've played this season.
Credit Swans, they're really up for it.

We'll be better, 2nd half.

Doesn't feel like we are employing the high press here. Feels more like we are holding our shape and trying to hit them on the counter.

Needed that half time whistle. Both the ref and the scouser on commentary unbearable.

Despite being nowhere near our best we are still winning, though VK might not be overly happy given his high standards.

Started off pressing high then went to a lower block when we went 2 up, been played through a bit too easily at times

Hmm, strange half that. Lost control after they scored and need that back. Thought we looked a bit leggy in centre mid so expect to see Bastien on at some point.
Hoping we can hit them on the counter second half maybe with Benny to come off the bench?

I’d be getting Benny on for Anass at half time and switch Tella to the left. Anass not looking fully fit to me still and not getting much change from their RB. Tella has also been poor, but I think he has the opportunity to get in behind.

The best chance we have is on the break and I feel his pace, along with Benny, could quite easily result in a goal or two for us.

Tella and Zaroury just don't look up for it today
Not heard Cullens name mentioned
So others are playing well
60% possession for Swansea shows how the game was finishing after our great start

Benson needed second half and we’re looking slow in midfield. I’d say bring Bastien on but I’m still not sure what to make of him.

Swansea looking the better team. If we tire in the second half I can see them winning. We are not used to hazing the ball. Zaroury has been poor from some good positions. Think ref thinks its WWF

Swans have put a lot of energy and running into that half’s no chance they can keep that up for the 90.

If we can gain control of the ball and slow the game down a bit let them chase for 10-15 mins then bring on Benson and JBG to hurt them.

Could be just the game for Twine to try and get us on the ball more and get control of the possession cos the last 20 mins Swansea have bossed us

Gudmonson or benson are possible swaps for zaroury. You could try bastion also if you wanted to be a bit more defensive minded and push tella up with jay

Not sure id throw twine into this, its a very physical game and would not surprise me if it doesnt end with 11 me on the pitch. A quick break counter attack seems to be our best chance of scoring

Two quality hits from Maatsen and you sense they can be picked off but we've been slow on transition. They have edged the midfield and it's worrying how they keep finding pockets in front of our defence. Tella has also been off it a little...hesitant on attack and some poor first touches have stopped attacks.
We have a battle on here. We need to be snappier in midfield..quicker on the press and quicker on transition.

Ref's been awful so far. Don't know what he'll give and what he won't for either side. Fuming at that foul on Tella before their goal. Massive resolute half for Burnley needed, very dangerous are Swansea. Most teams are going to be well up for the Burnley scalp at present, as expected. C'mon lads.

Disappointed with Muric there.

Two easy shots straight at him and he flapped them both straight back into danger. He needs replacing in the summer he’s our biggest weak link.

Apart from that been some strong performances

Think we need more control of the ball tbh. We are better than them when we play, but we aren’t keeping the ball well enough. I’m sure Twine has played in many physical games in League One.
