Watched the first one, thought it was all a bit weird.

I found some of the characters a bit oily.

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up. The reviews sound like it's a bit marmite, nevertheless I'll give it a go.

Watched them all over the last few nights

It is a bit weird and nearly gave up but it becomes a little clearer from episode 5

In the real world, half the team would have been sacked in the first episode for safety breaches and got priority for that helicopter ride home they all wanted.

Didn't see a pair of safety glasses in any of the first 6 episodes, mandatory outside the accomodation block but even worse was climbing the Comms tower with only 1 clip instead of 2. Who issued their climbing certificate??? In the real world there should be a fall arrest rail because who wants to climb a ladder clipping yourself on and off each rung, I've done it up a flare stack on a old platform, not fun...

I have one episode of this left, feel I’ve come too far to give up now but it has been very average. Some really good actors in it too (basically the entire cast was either in Game of Thrones or Line of Duty…..or both in Owen Teale’s case!).

Good acting should be drilled into them.

Following on from Line Of Duty Martin Compston obviously felt this was the perfect Platform for his acting talent.

Not good. I think some of the cast will look back at this with regret…
