I’m assuming you mean Bradford City and not Bradford (Park Avenue).

Well now there’s a conflict - a large part of me hopes it’s a disaster of a signing!

A good move for all parties. He isn't getting football here and Bradford City are aiming for promotion.

It's hard to get decent level loans for our players.

City have got themselves a decent player there.

DCWat - BPA were the first team I ever saw live, Kevin Hector anyone? They lost 3-1 at home to Fulham.

Kevin Hector was brilliant at Derby wasn't he ? Alongside Mackay ?

A bit before my time, doug but my Dad was definitely a fan of Kevin Hector. I’d love to have been able to see a game at Park Avenue.

Mackay was a good player before he went to Forest but Cloughy and Taylor made quite a few ordinary players into the creme de la creme

I think we were all hoping Dara would go out on loan. L1 would have been better but L2 will hopefully mean he'll get a decent amount of matches under his belt.

Good luck, Dara!

I was always a fan of Kevin Hector, I remember a game at Turf Moor soon after Derby had been promoted, probably January or February. The game would not have gone ahead these days because the pitch was frozen. Most of the players could barely keep their feet but Hector and Martin Dobson seemed to simply glide over the surface. For me to compare anybody with Dobbo means he must have been good! Think the game finished 1 - 1.

There will be a lot pressure playing for a League 2 club with such a brilliant support but I have confidence he will cope and I think it will stand him in really good stead for coming back a better player who can compete for a place in our squad or maybe get a loan to a Championship club

Hope Costelloe can get some games under his belt. I liked the look of him early this season, raw but lively. Wish him all the best.

Seems a confidence player to me, I think that if you give him 2-3 games to settle he will be a big player for them and score goals

Living at Catterick Darlo was my local team. We went on one night match against BPA and arrived early. Their team coach was parked outside the ground and they let us on for autographs. Hector was one of them. I’m guessing it was the ‘65-‘66 season when Darlo got promoted and Hector scored the 40+goals that got him his move to Derby.
