Don't think there's much chance of us winning the league at Ewood.
We'd most likely have to end the game 25 points ahead of second place since our rivals would probably have 8 games left - possibly more depending on FA Cup results.
Could potentially be promoted that day though.
I suppose that’ll have to do then

The talk is that if the game has to be rearranged due to one of the clubs being in 6th round of the cup, then the game would probably be played very late on in the season as there are very few available dates.

Aye, I’m half hoping it gets delayed a little for us to win the league there

What makes you say that? Got a busy April and May, would def need to move some things around, and sort the day after off with work in advance....

It's because this is the only free midweek date in April

Read what I put a few months ago about the bubble matches not being enforced anymore and most on here shot it down saying BS likewise when I said we are going to get the whole end of around 8k, this info is from a police gold match commander who's involved with the planning and running of both these Burnley Blackburn game's and not from someone at the club, shoot it down all you like but we'll soon see who's right when the info comes out, putting not true without any back up is very easy to type
I don't need to read anything, as I know your claim of us getting 8k isn't true.
And I don't need to back it up, it'll all come to light in good time

I've also heard that they're trying to give us a smaller allocation than previously agreed. Only time will tell but the only thing I know for certain is that AgentClaret has absolutely no clue what's going on, he's been posting stuff as "in the know" for ages but if he said the sun was going to set tonight I'm not sure I'd believe it.

After last night we could make it feel like a home match if they only gave us 500 tickets.
They'll be silent after the 1st goal, and leaving in droves after the 2nd.
I can understand, from the fans pov, but the fans opinion shouldn't be relevant. It's a sport, and a business. To cut Our Allocation, in order to save them from embarrassment, would be really pathetic. And as pointed out above pointless, they'll be leaving in droves long before the end.

I bet its nearer to 8k than the 4k you seem to think it'll be, but like you say lets wait and see

it makes Kompany's team talk even easier if they cut our allocation

Surely it’s far better to have us all in one stand, than give us a reduced allocation and risk Burnley fans in the home ends.

You would have thought so. Would also reduce the number who might travel without tickets.

You'd think anyone trying to sit in the home end for a game like this is a bit daft as they'll risk getting a ban, especially if they can't sit on their hands for ninety minutes and Rovers fans take offence to them being in there.

Despite the bravado, not many clarets would run the risk of sitting in the general home stands unless genuinely with a rovers mate…………and if you did…
Well
I for one would go told you so.

I was sat in middle of the riverside when we beat em 2-1 didn’t know anyone, when questioned I said I was a Stanley fan who worked with the guy who’s season ticket I had been given.
Was better than missing the game and got a great view of the celebrations in away end

And if yer a decent bloke probably get away with it as you should…….(and as you obviously are a decent bloke, and did get away with it) just this bravado of “we’ll all be in their end” garb……….
To me segregating fans actually makes it worse………..

It higher likely that either us or b@st#rds will make it through to the qtr final, if this the case do we know when this match is likely to be moved to?
Will a night match affect our allocation?

Not sure how it can, unless I'm missing something. Tickets go on sale on Monday for the Sunday fixture - prior to knowing if the game is going to be moved to midweek. If they plan to reduce the allocation for a midweek game, then this would be the initial allocation, with potentially more then being allocated at a later date should it stay on the Sunday?

I don't know but possibly one off the issues which is being considered when they are deciding the allocation, is that whilst they may be happy giving us 7000 for a 12noon ko on the Sunday, they may not want 7000 away fans for a midweek evening ko. But if they sell 7000 from Monday and it then becomes an evening ko, they'll be stuck with 7000 away fans. 7000 fans with limited drinking opportunities with a 12noon ko or 7000 with all day drinking opportunities for a 7.45pm ko.

Can’t see the old bill allowing a Blackburn v Burnley game at anything but a morning KO , certainly not one which could be a possible promotion party .

Police should need some pretty cast-iron evidence-based reasons for ADVISING changes to the timing of any football game.

If there is genuine concern about any rescheduled game for a midweek fixture the common sense approach is to sort it now by switching week 42 fixtures with this game so that it can definitely go ahead on a 12:00 Sunday (week 42 16th April) lunchtime if that's what's required.
Burnley currently scheduled to play Reading away in week 42 (15th April) and Blackburn are due to face Hull at home. If they switched these fixtures ASAP all clubs involved would have plenty of notice for any of the eventualities.
So if they switched, the away game at Reading for us would be changed to the midweek game in April if we progress in the cup; and the Hull home game for Rovers would be changed if they also progress in the cup.
makes sense to me anyway.

Or maybe everyone needs to stop over hyping this game that will be attended by 20 odd thousand people at the most! We’ve played them twice midweek and Ewood in the cups with no particular issues.
Has the football league ever swapped fixtures around for a derby match before!?!

You’re quite right , though the days of serious disorder are long gone , they’ll peddle the “ high risk “ nature of the game etc .

It was indeed , the replay from 2003 ish ?? Don’t remember any Aggrow at all that night .It’s not so much the actual real live threat of disorder ,it’s just the way the police tend to deal with local rivalries, ie they sh1t themselves helped no end by SKY being able to televise them at 12am etc which is a ludicrous K.O time .
We may have no other option to play a night game, but the extreme rarity of a local derby also being a “ promotion celebration “ will not sit well with Lancs constabulary.

I’m not over hyping anything. Others saw an issue, I provided a solution that would work for most (apart from those with long term plans for any of the fixtures, which to be fair are all stated as TBC on the league fixture lists)

Sorry didn’t mean you personally. Just think the fixture for what it is and how many attend is totally overhyped by the authorities.

Surely they can't still be in negotiations on allocation on a Friday if they go on sale on Monday especially knowing how inept our club is when it comes to communication and selling tickets.

They are still deliberating, so highly unlikely that sales will start on Monday.

Just give us the Riverside and Darwen End and bus the 8,000 Rovers fans in.
Problem solved.

I’ve been to the ticket office this morning to pick my Blackpool tickets up , they told me that Blackburn tickets will definitely not being on sale on Monday. They haven’t even been in contact with us over allocation.

Better comms from fans than the club itself who are confusing things by putting anything on the website
